Kelly like Saban, just needed to move to a school that could accumulate the best talent and offer the best facilities.

A more important hire than Saban. If lsu whiffed on the saban hire it would have been no big deal. LSU sucked then and sucked for awhile.
BK’s hire is more important because the program and brand is bigger now. With the rising of other sec programs the timing of the BK hire was bigger.

Kelly is another version of Saban, just more stable on the sidelines.

Almost wish he wasn’t 60 years old. It would be really nice to have a coach of his caliber for a good 15 plus years. Like Saban has done in Alabama. But, we are also now getting him at his best due to all his previous experience. So that is a plus.
