Why does rushing the field have to be taboo?

To all the LSU fans that think LSU students are justified in rushing the field after Ole Miss, I’m with you. It has been a difficult two years. You’re right. These students should have their fun and who are we to look down upon that? In fact I think we should do this more often just to make sure the students have a memorable college experience. Why wait till we beat another 7th ranked opponent? What am I suggesting? That’s right. I think we should all rush the field when we beat UAB. Who’s in??

Big fines to the SEC every time it happens.

Because it’s something you’re not supposed to do?

Rushing the field has lost its luster over the years. Kids just do it for the experience and to post it on social media now.

Nothing says that the other team was really better than you and we were just lucky like rushing the field...
Sorry, but even the appearence of weakness is weakness.

I think my point was if we do it when we literally own ole miss, then why not do it for every non conference game too. To me it was a joke that we rushed and a lot of people here were defending it

Biden won't pay for it and I don't want to pay for it

It’s because someone could get hurt and sue everyone under the sun.

Act like you been there before.

I hope J Burton punches you right in the head if you rush the field against Bama.

Good thing LSU doesn’t have to pay any judgments if it gets sued and the plaintiff wins at trial since it’s a state entity. There are thousands of judgments against the state that no one will ever collect on unless the legislature decides to apportion money to pay them.

Why be elitist? Frankly, I like being the school that wins like a blue blood but parties blue collar AF . We don’t have to act like Bama. Acting like Bama is how you end up Nebraska or Norte Dame. Full of tradition and pride but the average age of anyone who knows you were ever elite is over 50.

"Judgements"? In all the years I've been watching college football, 4 decades +, games all across the country, I've never heard of anyone getting hurt storming the field. And that's the kind of news that would be all over the news. Basketball games as well. The large majority of the field storming crowd was students, probably drunk students. As an aside, the Tenn. crowd that stormed their field was easily 3-4 times as large, for a longer period of time, and there were no reported injuries. What are you going to say to any fans doing this : "please don't, it's a sign of weakness & makes us look bad "?? Step back, karens, and enjoy the positive vibes.
