Condolences my friend. Dogs are the best. and putting them down is the worst feeling in the world.

Had one die in my arms at the emergency vet clinic. I would love to have another dog, just can't take that pain anymore.
This past spring I had one pass on the way to the emergency vet, I was in the back seat with her in my lap
It’s hard but another one will help you, especially one that has been rescued
My mom brought home a beagle that had been to hell & back maybe 2 weeks after our 1st dog died at 18
We were so pissed she had the nerve to bring home a dog that needed to be put down right after our loss
The beagle ended up being fixable although she was missing teeth, her jaw & front foot was crooked & her ears looked like something gnawed on them
The joy that dog brought our family is something I’ll never be able to put into words

I wish we were all dogs. Un-conditional love. Yea there's a hierarchy, but they get along and survive.

I hope Murphy is taking it well. They look inseparable

Sorry for your loss of Hank man. I know what your feeling...went through it in January with my Doberman who was my sidekick for 10 years. Went through spinal surgery and helped him walk again and after several grueling months he recovered, only to get diagnosed with unrelated terminal cancer within weeks. Like Hank though all the pain at the end was worth it for those 10 amazing years with my best buddy .

So sorry you lost your pump man. That’s the only trouble with dogs…they just don’t live as long as we do.

Beautiful animal. Runts are great dogs.
My beloved Georgey was the “runt” only in he was the one no one wanted. He was so much bigger than the other golden doodles and they get big as it is. Ask anyone that knows him and they’ll tell you there ain’t none any better.
OP, sorry for your loss.

Oh man. Sorry. Nothing beats a good dog. Good boy, Hank. Good boy.

RIP Hank……We don’t deserve dogs. They give unconditional love and just ask for food and attention in return.
