Movie buffs,

I remember several years ago seeing a movie about a bunch of young college aged kids at a Lake House and a lot of weird “scary” stuff started happening to them. Seemed like it was set in the 80s and in the end all of the weird stuff that happened was fake.

Wish I could be more specific but that’s really all I remember.

What movie am I thinking of?

i forgot where i first watched it, but i remember dying laughing at that scene. it was so serious at first, but when he went to make that jump and crashed, you knew this wasn't a serious movie.

Appreciate the response but that’s not it. I believe the one I’m thinking of was actually filmed in the 90s. It’s not very sophisticated. Will have to check that one out though.

not many other movies where everything that happened was fake.

any Friday the 13th movie
any of the Evil Dead movies
Cabin Fever

Cabin in the Woods is exactly what you described except for the '80s setting.

Sounds a bit like April Fool’s Day (1986).

That's it. That's the movie Jeffery Dahmers dad was in. I knew I seen him somewhere.
