I thought Howard could play three more games and still keep his redshirt.

People assuming he will start next year are going to be disappointed when Daniels gets Year 2 as QB1 under Kelly and DumbRock

IMO if Les wouldn't ruin him I believe Lee could've been great!

If Kelly was going to put Howard in, the 4th quarter would have been the perfect opportunity to get him quality live in-game reps. There was nothing to lose and he didn’t do it. I don’t expect to see Howard again this season. Tbh

Tua got thrown into the National Title Game as a True Freshman

I don't disagree, but Tua had a bit more experience and depth blocking for him, too.

I do not expect to see anyone at qb except JD. Kelly said he was committed to this and Kelly has shown that this is what he wants.

Live with it.

Simply isn't true. His dad was a stud. But unfortunately, he was so talented, he spent his summer playing baseball in the braves organization

Please yell us how sitting on the bench and not playing helps...please share.

Lemme guess, he'll "gain weight" or "get stronger". Why, so when he's indecisive next year and gets sacked, it won't hurt as much?
Give me a fricking break

We consistently have poor QB play and seem to be the only team in the country thats terrified to play a freshman QB. Other teams play young QB's over the years with success but never LSU.

Fact is JD is NOT the answer. They took a chance, it didn't work out. Now its time to get Nuss more in-game reps to gain experience. JD should start but Nuss should be subbed in as well.

Kids are young and impressionable. It will be hard to bring in QB recruits if they view LSU coaching staff as continuing to play a kid without even fairly giving possibly a better player an honest shot. JD is struggling in his 4th year of starting. The kid has no idea of how to read a D. Therefore, he has no idea where he should be trying to go with the ball. He's an athletic QB playing off sheer athleticism but has a low football IQ for a QB.

Orrrrrrrr…. We fans learn some patience and realize that this season will not likely be great.

Why play a qb that will never be great?
You're acting like if he played behind Bamas line, he'd miraculously learn to read, anticipate, and throw.

NEVER happening

I’m wrong, you’re right.

There will be no downside to putting a true freshmen out there during the middle of SEC play, behind a beat up and bad OL that can’t pass protect, an OC running an offense that’s not QB friendly, can’t get an amazing WR group involved at all and zero running game… nothing but upside there… Let’s light this candle.

There is nothing to suggest that Howard is, right now, anything special.

That doesn't mean he won't be. But, this is the classic, whatever is behind door #3 HAS to be better, right?

Have you seen Bama's OL?

And Milroe isn't a true freshman.

They also have the fastest RB I've seen in college this year in the backfield.

Yes, because LSU’s 2022 roster is a perfect corollary to one of Bama’s better teams under Saban in a National Championship Game. We can give Howard all the help and support in the world. Totally the same situation. Why hasn’t Kelly thought of this yet?

It absolutely is true that Jamie was thrown to the wolves by a bad staff to try and carry a really bad team. No one associated with LSU knows how this fanbase can turn on a QB than him after the bullshite he had to endure post Auburn 94. That was all the staff’s fault for how they managed that game, but he took all the shite for what happened.

I’m sure Walker’s injury last year played a part in the family insisting that he get a redshirt this year as well, but if you don’t think the man’s experience at LSU was also a factor, then you are a special kind of stupid.
