Ivy League elitist: Says bringing back manufacturering is about racism

He says a focus on domestic manufacturing is simply a “fetish for keeping white males with low education in the powerful positions they are in.”
I'm guessing this pencil neck had never even so much as formed a hand blister in his life. He hates working class white males, and probably equally disrespect black and brown working class males, but sees them as his pets he can nurture and white knight for.
This is at the Cato institute by the way. Bunch of libertarian goobers.

That Ivy League elitist has forgotten why the French invented the guillotine.

Somebody has to manufacture stuff. Where did he get his suit, watch, and eyeglasses from?

You can notice, just don't admit you noticed.

This retard has lived in a fantasy world for so long, he probably thinks Doritos grow on trees.
Manufacturing is the backbone of any industrialized country that wants to provide for a respectable life for its citizens.
The world can absolutely live without his talking head, but could not survive without manufacturing.

Dweebs like him are jealous of men who are strong and independent. He thinks America should just be some big consumer colony with an artificial economy. We can outsource all our manufacturing and have unlimited unfettered illegals flood in the country to perform any other additional physical labor here. Then all the legacy Americans can just rot away on the welfare net, cheap goods, fake food, and shitty entertainment living meaningless, unfulfilling lives with no family or strong community bonds.

There’s no way the guy that said this is a libertarian.

Everything you said is true but should be emphasized vastly more due to the need of supply chains moving back into the USA over the next 20 to 50 years as Chinas demographic population collapse occurs.
Supply chains here will then be the ONLY place supply chains exist

It’s amazing how these Ivy League types are void of actual intelligence and common sense

Matt Stoller is correct. Off-shoring of manufacturing jobs directly impacts unskilled workers more than anyone else. Anyone who disagrees has never taken a Labor Economics class, let alone given critical thought to the topic. Shame on the Cato Institute for putting forth this drivel that is an affront to basic common sense.

Powerful positions?
He must feel intimidated by people who can actually do things.
I don't consider being a maintenance guy down at the plant to be a power position, but I know that guy is pretty damn self sufficient and deserves my respect. He can take care of his own problems without much help.
When that dweeb sees people like that, it must remind him how helpless he really is.
He probably has to pay someone, to fix every simple problem that he has.

I am reading a book recommended from here, apologies for forgetting who recommended it called The Radicalism of the American Revolution. It talks about the Monarchial System of England, and it's influences on American Republicanism.
It goes into great detail about how it was practically a caste system in England and Colonial America with a Ruling Class over the Merchant Class. A man could become rich as a Merchant but still not be considered in the upper class.
Kind of what the Uniparty and Deep State are trying to resurrect here, IMHO.
They say History repeats.

Works for the CCP. Damaging our manufacturing feeds the Chicom war against the West.

Pol Pot had some interesting ideas of what to do about academics.
