That is about 50K in motors alone on the back.

SeaTow says they'll come get you anywhere, right?

It was in a cow pasture. Not sure of the exact location
Would be really interesting to know how far the surge moved it inland.

I mean you only buy one set of controls not per motor.

After the hurricanes smashed creole there was a brand new Duramax sitting about 500 yards out in the marsh.
My wife asked how they were going to get it out. I just laughed and said it'll stay there until fish are living in it.
Some baws bought a half mile of winch lines, hooked em all together, and drug that bastard to the road. I hope they had 700 cans of OFF. It was probably brutal.

Never could understand the need for 3 or 4 engines. Status symbol I guess.

Eh, after rigging and controls, closer to $130K
350 Verados are around 30K each
ETA: If you can find one, much less quads

Probably a troll but it’s hard to move a 35ft+ boat with less than 3 engines. And redundancy is nice when you’re 100+ miles from shore

Yeah probably so. I know last I checked a repower for trip 300 Yammys was right around 75k, but that was a while ago and we already had controls and rigging.

SeaTow guy would tie onto it then pull up to the beach and start blasting a canal to it with prop wash.
Posted on 10/7/22 at 8:57 pm to WhuckFistle
If surge carried it there and just receded I could see it not damaging it.
Have fun getting it out of there though

I don’t mean to derail, but I really don’t understand how a guy with a boat like that leaves it in the water. I know these guys didn’t know where it was going to hit exactly. But I said this in other threads that on a boat like that it’s maybe a 10 hour trip to Panama City beach. Worst case pay someone to drive it up there for you? That’s what a $400k+ boat used?
ETA: surprised there’s not a business for this. Bring a guy in to drive your boat up the coast for 2-3 days, and drive it back.

Has insurance, can't afford the note anymore, wants it to disappear?

400k? Not even close. Way more than that. Probably closer to 750-800k
