The sack on Tua after the false start against Bama in 2018 on the opening drive, Delpit went helmet to his balls. That was probably the last cheer that night but was deafening

Student section 97 versus Florida...still the loudest moment in my football watching life. Entire game...it was LOUD.
And it was LOUD simply from hard core LSU fans yelling, not some fake orchestrated musical refuse being blasted out from speakers.

This is my favorite sports memory ever. It was an unbelievable moment that I wish had become some kind of tradition every time an opponent scored in a pivotal moment. I 100% believe that chanting shook UGA.

My vote. The big dude shook of a tackle and rumbled down the sideline and carried us into the 4th quarter. That was a fun moment.

Kendall Beckwith fumble recovery inside the 5 vs Bama… can’t remember the exact year.

Loud as hell. REC call followed not long after to screw LSU

If we are talking about non-scoring moments...

Nothing tops this for me. That play ended the third quarter. As the LSU band struck up “pregame”, about 50% of the LSU team ran off the sidelines and into the end zone in front of the student section. I’ve never seen that “in the middle of a game”. There was no team huddle on the sidelines with the coaches. It was the team getting the crowd going and the stadium was going insane.

Only Les Miles coaching scared in the last 1:50 seconds of that game could stop us that night.

Go back and watch the video of the moment. CBS panned over the student section after the block and it was absolute pandemonium with drinks flying everywhere.

I was a student in the student section during that time and this was the wildest single moment I remember as far as drinks flying everywhere.

The loudest moment though to me was the USC-Stanford announcement in 07 vs Florida. From that moment on through the end of the game, the student section was so insanely loud. My buddy and I were starting to feel like we had to throw up simply from yelling so long and the level of noise around us in the student section. Craziest sustained atmosphere I’ve ever been a part of.

I've been going to games for 38 years. It's the 2007 Florida game when they announced the USC loss to Stanford.

There have been plenty of loud moments after LSU scores a TD including the Hester TD in that FLorida game. There have been plenty of moments of crowd sustained noise when our defense was on the field.

Here's why that USC moment was different.

First of all, LSU was #1 in one poll and USC was #1 in the other poll. As the season progressed, LSU had looked more impressive than USC and was gaining votes in USC each week. This was the first time LSU had been ranked #1 during the season since 1959 (someone fact check me on this). There was the friction between LSU and USC over the 2003 national championship, so USC had become a hated rival even though we didn't play during that time.

The I-phone had just rolled out in 2007 and not everyone had them, but word started to spread in the stands that USC had lost. When they made the announcement, it was a realization that LSU was about to be the unanimous number 1 team in the county if we win this game.

The funny part is that LSU had just scored to cut the Florida lead to 17-14. They made the announcement during the commercial break, everyone goes nuts and Florida promptly goes on a 80 yard drive in about 4-5 plays and extends the lead to 24-14.

But for two minutes during that commercial break, everyone, including the players on the sidelines went absolutely bananas. It's something I've never seen in that stadium, but to be in that moment, was tremendous.

I do agree that moment when we blocked the Bama kick in 2008, especially since they were #1 and it was Saban. It's probably underrated since we lost the game.

One of the loudest moments I remember was bama in 2012 (ish). Crowd was roaring. Couldn't hear people next to you kind of loud. Bama threw a swing pass to a wide open RB and the place went DEAD. It was crazy to go from that much noise to nothing in less than 2 seconds.
I’ll never forget that moment unfortunately. Was a student at the time and it felt like we were due our revenge on Bama for 1/9. It was rocking then suddenly just all the air was let out the stadium

Opened this thread to post this I was 10. It got so damn loud and we STAYED loud. Skyler catching that ball and Auburn missing the field goal in 05 were the loudest moments I’ve experienced in Tiger Stadium.

Unfortunately, the Yeldon screen followed.
We had kept them in check for most of the night by heavily pressuring McCarron.

Miles then allowed Chavis to go to that Prevent Defense BS on the final drive.

It worked.

It prevented us from winning.

In south end zone you could see the band playing but couldn’t hear them - that’s loud

McCarron said in the postgame interview that they knew exactly what 2 minute defense LSU would run.

I mean, of course we were outcoached in the final two minutes of a Miles-Saban battle.

Funny thing is, from 2010-2011 Les Miles had Saban’s number. We had hit them with a fake punt in 2010, and in 2011 Saban played so timid in the 9-6 game cause he was so uncertain of what Miles would do.

That all ended on 1-9-12.

Bama 2012. I remember my chest could feel the pressure from the sound. I stopped for a second and just took in the moment. Was absolutely incredible. We lost, which sucked but the energy from the crowd is something I won’t forget

Not necessarily a “moment”, but the 2009 Florida game is underrated in terms of how loud that game was. I remember it being just deafening. I believe there was an interview with Urban Meyer after where he mentioned how he couldn’t believe the sheer volume and he took his headset off for a moment to really get a true sense of it
