I was listening to a Tenn radio show this morning (Fox Sports Knoxville) and they sound way to confident. One guy expects 12k Vols fans to be in the stadium Saturday. Don’t know how they can be so full of themselves after Florida exposed their defense. @volrumormill also doesn’t think their best WR will be ready and that they will rest him for another week. Vols are setting up for a letdown. 42-21 TIGERS!!!

They seem to have figured out that only eleven players can play defense at any one time so I can understand their newly found confidence.

They’ll have way more than 12,000 fans. If they travel like they did during their 1996-2002 heyday, they will probably have closer to 20,000 fans.

I actually like the SEC better when Tennessee is a power. They have been down for so long now, I was starting to think they would not be able to claw back to a top SEC level team. That said, we can win this game. Just need to play well

As they should be. They are ranked 8th in the country and have one of, if not the top ranked offense in the country. They're not great on defense, but LSU isn't very good on offense so it's kind of a wash. Not sure why their confidence is surprising to you.

Tennesse can score a shite ton of points. LSU starts slow, and House usually feels out the offensive schemes and matchups and then makes adjustments. The problem with playing Tennesse is that the Vols could be up 21-0 before LSU adjustments work.

TennerC has played the 13th easiest schedule thus far in the SEC. Their only road game they got took to OT by Pitt who got beat by a bad GA Tech team. They also needed the OT period to break 30 points and 400 yards of total O vs Pitt.

I live in VOL country. I can attest to their confidence. Everybody in my life from church, work, family, & friends that are UT fans are so damn cocky right now.

I have noticed how much they collectively HATE Brian Kelly too. Weirdly, the entire VOL fanbase has some sort of disdain towards Brian Kelly. It seems baseless. I never realized how jealous they are of Notre Dame.

Only being favored by 3 points is angering to them. They think and expect a 3 score lead by halftime.

From their board:

“ It's death valley but with the early kickoff and how we score in a hurry and often, I don't see the crowd being that much of a factor”

We need to prove them wrong, like Georgia 2018. Bunch of cocky a-holes thinking they were going to take over Death Valley. This CAN NOT HAPPEN.

Our QB's didn't throw for 100yds in an entire game this past weekend. You have to score to beat Tennessee. They have every reason to be confident right now.

You seem confident! No way this offense scores 42 on TN. Not saying LSU can't win, but not at your predicted score.

PS - TN should be confident. They are top 10 team and favored on the road in Tiger Stadium.

Back when they were relevant years ago they rivaled FL in terms of a cocky delusional fan base with very limited football knowledge. I remember Mauck kicking their arse in the SEC championship game while they cried in the stands. Happened again a few years later when they came to Tiger stadium and took a beat down after talking all kinds of smack. They basically act like new money when it comes to athletics and hopefully we kick their arse Saturday.

Why should they not be confident. LSU has no offense...at all which makes their lack of defense less of a problem.

Why aren’t they allowed to feel confident? Seeing as barely got by a terrible Auburn squad, why should LSU feel confident?
