Here’s the thing I want to use pork-chops instead of chicken. Also I need I’m stupid instructions and ingredients please
I don’t keep spices or many things since I’m living away from home while selling house waiting for fam to move here.

I recently made pork chops using the Mississippi roast recipe. See the thread about Mississippi roast.

^^ He’s spot on. Season meat with whatever canned seasoning mix you have, or s&P. Salt and pepper works great. If you happen to have the standards, like Tonys or slap ya mama, use those on meat or the onions. But smothered pork and chicken is about as good as it gets with basic seasonings.

So basically put on lowest burner setting for 2 hours?
I have Slap Ya Mama as every smart man should

YouTube The Cajun Ninja. He has step by step video for cooking both.

Actually I move to oven when doing dishes like this
Need a good pot with cover.
Make sure liquid covers or nearly covers the pork or chicken.
Cook at 300 for a couple of hours.
Just make sure liquid doesn’t steam off.

This is about what I do (ETA: with pork chops).
I’ll sometimes sprinkle a half cup or so of flour on the onions when they’re cooking if I want thicker gravy, but it’s not a necessity.
Two hours is also key. You’d think thats enough time to turn a pork chop into sawdust, but it’s not the case. Melt in your mouth.

Google Paul Prudhomme’s Sticky Chicken recipe.

If you find chops dry like I do, use pork shoulder steaks. For a great shortcut use the Cajun Power stewed chicken bottle. If too thin add a packet of pork gravy mix.

I’ve made the Cajun Ninja smothered pork chops in onion gravy. Delicious! Google his step by step video. You can’t mess it up.

made a delicious smothered pork recipe last week.
bought some cheap pork sirloin chops that were thick, seasoned them and browned them.
Then i just cooked down some trinity and garlic with some butter for a good while.
boiled some turnips i cubed up until slightly tender.
added some french onion soup and water with packet of pork gravy mix. added my turnips, and then cooked it down in the oven for about 2-3 hours until the chops started to break apart easily.
I would imagine it'd taste even better with some home grown turnips instead of the bitter ones you get from the grocery store. Just planted my carrots yesterday, and getting the turnips in the grown today, even though i'm a bit late on both, just hadn't had the time to get it done yet.

About to kick this off. Butcher had some bone in pork chops on sale this week. Seems simple enough.

Very, very good. Didn’t have any Tony’s so I had to use Zatarain’s instead. My butcher seemingly always has those thin cut, bone in porch chops on sale all the time.
