Would you pay that price? If they sign you will be paying 20+ more a month

Why would you be mad about a cable provider standing up to Disney hiking prices

I literally re-upped with Sling today JUST before they announced no ESPN. Lit $25 on fire.

We’re not far away from a network that relies on ad revenue to just start broadcasting for free.

It’s just a race to see who does it first. Give it time.

I canceled Sling today. I only subscribed literally for just college football. They’ll be out of business by next weekend.

How do you not realize you're a bargaining chip for these corporations to squeeze more money out of you?

Does sling also know, the more they raise their rates, people will move on?

dish dug in, lost certain channels, and people find other ways to get them. some stay, some leave.

cable and satellite had their chance years ago to stand up to the shite channels and channel providers.

No one wants 99% of the channels on their service, but are forced to take the on, because 99.999% of channels are owned by 3-4 companies. (espn/disney, NBC, CBS, Discovery, etc).

the people wishing sling would just agree to the contract would be the same ones who cancel when they up their prices

putting sling in a bad position

Dish/sling are watching out for you trying to keep costs down. They are notorious for fighting back against networks that are trying to raise costs. By cancelling, especially immediately, you are just screwing yourself.

Dish and Sling are shite. Dish constantly extorts content providers and it's customers are the victims.

I say nobody should pay Disney. We can ride it out. If dish and sling pay, it just reinforces that Disney can do what it wants. Frick them.
