Great album. "Would" hit so hard from that album. Last album Star played on before he was fired by the band. Although, "Nutshell" is in my top 5 songs ever came from Jar of Flies.

As I got older one thing i loved about music was exploring a little more into artists' catalogs aside from jsut the megahits that get played on radio. For the longest time the only songs I knew by AIC were rooster and man in teh box.

The first time I heard Rain when I Die from dirt I was fricking floored! I frickin love that song.

Jar of Flies and Dirt were the two AIC albums I listened to the most growing up. They were awesome to listen to.

Completely agree probably my favorite song, especially on the nights where I would randomly joy ride at 1-2 in the morning.

Just saw Jerry Cantrell band (not AIC) at LTL. Played Rooster and a couple other tunes. Solid set

Baton Rouge cover band Paleface, led by guitarist Joe Batson, played killer versions of these tunes at Papa Joe’s for a good bit after the album’s release. They got me into grunge by playing lots from this record and some from STP.
