Who the hell is cheering to her imprisonment? Russia is not stupid they waited for her to do something stupid and they snagged her. That's her own fault. She chose to play in the country when she had other options. It's not like they just planted whatever they wanted on her and then convicted her.

What American in their right mind would visit Russia unless they were forced to? Russia is not stupid they know they can't just snag an American without some personal accountability in situation. Britney has herself to blame. It's a ridiculous law but that's their country and her they run it. Nothing we can do. What do you suggest? We give them an arms terrorist who's responsible for thousands maybe millions of deaths for 1 person who did it themselves? Drop bombs on them?

Ok rationalize it. Bottomline you and many others are happy it happened to her bc you disagree with her lifestyle and politics. Once upon a time in America freedom of expression and speech were actually admired and respected. But hey when you hate American values like many on here, I can see where that's disappeared.

Again This is 100% about your politics.

She's already commented before, at what point do we get to say, "that has nothing to do with me and my program, move the frick on?"

You would cum your little pants if she outwardly denounced BG.

I don't give a frick what anyone in the public sphere, especially athletics, thinks of anything. It is of zero consequence to me.

Sure buddy.

Yeah you might wanna tiptoe around liberals when your success depends on recruiting players who fall in 2-3 of the most liberal demographics in he country.

Uh, because they forced her to.
You don’t find the timing of all of this just a little but suspicious, especially given the number of times that she’s gone in and out of that country?

Her comments are great for recruiting smh. Could've said we are thinking of her and praying for her. But hey she a hero to the commie government boot-lickers on the Rant, that worship authoritarian governments that lock people up for nearly 9 years for a plant. Those cheering for Griner's imprisonment are the greatest threat to American freedom. Just really sickos cheering for someone being locked up in a foreign jail because they disagree with her politics.

A couple things.

I for one don't care for BG at all but don't wish ill on her and do hope her and the other American prisoner get home safely as soon as possible.

Second, she has commented on this TWICE. She made a small comment in the spring when asked during the season and was asked on the radio show this summer. She is done talking about and refuses to publicly talk about it. Its funny how they don't want to publish the words Kim said earlier about hoping she gets home safe but only want to push that one response in the media day yesterday. Cory, the writer who used to cover SC WBB used it to get clicks. Kim attended an event earlier in the month and was asked the exact same thing and got the same response. He knew what was going to happen. In the process started a fire storm on social media.

You don’t.

You give the same canned answer.

Don’t fricking lie.

Why would I care About a WNBA plauyer who didn’t play for LSU? It’s an effort to care about LSU WBB.

Sure we’ll see.

I hope This all blows over and it never matters. I just want LSU to have success.

That won’t happen to me. I’ll never ever visit Russia or China or any communist country. I will never ever break any laws of any foreign country, either, so Im good. How naive and hypocritical some of you are? If someone visits our country and breaks our laws, most of you will be the first to demand arrests be made.

Funny. The only expression and speech that get any air time are those that align with your opinions. People with conservative values are the ones that are cancelled and demonized.

Russia has a 99% conviction rate.

Do you think they are just really good at only prosecuting criminals?

And again. It’s less about her guilt (and she’s probably guilty) and more about outwardly appearing to have your former players back.

There's a reason why most coaches stick to coach speak and just give platitudes, it avoids situations like this. She should have just said, "I will say the same thing I said in the spring, I really hope she makes it home ok and as soon as possible, but I'm here today to talk about LSU", even if she doesn't believe it, and this is all over.

Continue to play your scenario out and think about a world where we all give robotic answers? We are close to that point. Creativity is lost to PC and you’re encouraging feeding this beast.

Wrong! She’s not required to say anything. This is America and a person has the right to say or not say what he/she wants. You also have the right to say things that aren’t PC if you choose.

We have innocent people Take plea deals in the US all the time. When you have a near 100% chance of losing right or wrong throwing yourself at the mercy of the court is often your best option.

I dont Believe she had drugs planted on her but its not laughably implausible.
