Jayden Daniels: 24/29 for 279 yards, and 37 Rushing yards.

And zero touchdowns against New Mexico

He also seems like a level headed calm dude. I’m glad he’s here.

You mean the 94th ranked defense in yards per game is where his weaknesses are going to be exposed?

I will say this over and over again. FSU and State are two of the better defenses LSU will play all year.

He's been pretty good and unfortunately we need his mobility behind our OL.

I remember reading the exact same thing for 2017 Danny etling. Or 2009 Jordan Jefferson. Or 2014 Anthony jennings. Or 2012 Zach mettenberger

I like our chances with him as QB1 against anyone on the schedule. Bama included.

We’ve played 3 overmatched teams and 1 ok team. Take a step back.

It as if people like pirate king want to see Jayden fail. The tigers are going to keep getting better each week whether you guys like it or not. A guy throws for darn near 300 yards with no turnovers and a high completion rate and still there something to say. Just be happy our team is coming together at the right time. Our Defense is the real deal. our offense will continue to get better.

Or we realize his limitations as a player and its effect on the offense.

Not sure why some are taking that so personally for this particular player.

The difference is that 2018 was a first year starter every qb’s most improvement comes between year 1 and year 2 as a starter. This is Daniel’s 4th year as a starter and he has over 40 games under his belt. I’m rooting for him and he’s tough as nails, but expecting him to drastically improve as the season goes along just isn’t realistic

Dude I will admit that before the season I didn’t think he would be the starter. Now that he is the starter I do not see how anyone with 2 brain cells functioning can watch the games an not see improvement. Dude is getting better every game, the offense is evolving to better suit the QBs we have as well, the entire team is improving. JD is our best option to win games, Joe Burrow is never coming back. JD is playing well and if we continue to improve on the O Line and we continue to evolve the offense we are going to be fine. JD is not Joe Burrow and there is nothing wrong with that unless you actually believe every QB should be that good and that is your expectations

Even Tom Brady misses some open WR. I think Brady would also take this stat sheet: 24-29 279 yards 83%. Even if a lot of 3 step drop short timing routes, he delivered.

Daniels misses open receivers in almost every pattern. Try going to the games in person and you can see it. It’s maddening. He either has no vision at all or is too scared to throw it. Both are bad qualities in a quarterback.
