BRPD chief - it’s not my fault we can’t solve Allie Rice’s murder - it’s misinformation

I hate everything
I tried to listen to Sharon Weston Broome’s press conference today about crime in BR but turned it off bc she kept calling it “public safety” as opposed to violent criminals. Of course it’s not her fault, she’s going to go talk to the judiciary and form some word salad coalitions.
I could barely listen to the moron chief of police who thinks the solution is outreach programs. He’s also trying to figure out a motive what exactly is so confusing about the motive? There were about 12 gunshots in the car as
Far as I understand. Someone clearly intended to kill her. In the week following this sweet girl’s senseless death there was another incident in the neighborhood of some criminals shooting at each other in cars and some aspiring rapper was just shot in his apartment yesterday. I’m sure Allie’s death had nothing to do with gangs.
As an aside - Did this a-hole ever figure out the motive, much less arrest the perp when that 4 yr old was shot in his house, or did he just figure that since Shaq or whatever other pro athlete paid for his funeral and that would be cool?
As an added bonus, he doesn’t know the motive but has somehow been able to determine that it definitely was not a gang initiation. Based on WTF I dont know.
He says they interviewed everyone and didn’t really explain whether he interviewed the guy he ignored until he went to a reporter before or after he got called out for by the guy who went to a reporter.
Ultimately, you see, it’s misinformation’s fault and we just need some more coalitions and everything will be fine.

Be smart, protect yourself. The police will only recover your body.

Based on the clip I saw on the news, I sort of got the impression that said witness wasn’t real or fabricated the story.
Edit to add: I did only watch the clip. Not the whole press conference. Was meaning that the leadership was trying to play down the witness.

One with actual balls. A war mayor.

Yes, one that’s not woke. This mayor and her police chief have no desire to go up against the black community, no wonder violent crime is out of control.
We all have to do what we must to protect ourselves.

Both Allie’s father and boss have talked to the witness and a detective named Nick Jarkowski (may be slightly off on the last name) was specifically named as talking to the witness so Murphy Paul is an idiot and a liar. He might have meant the witnesses wasn’t credible in his opinion but that’s not what he said. He may also have no idea that one of his detectives spoke to the witness because he has no idea what he’s doing.

I guess they need to call real cops to solve these mysteries and not puppets?

I think BRPD knows the group responsible. There is corruption at the highest levels of the department.

Recall Broom
And change state law - let the whole state elect the chief of police and the DA in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The state can’t afford to let them fail.

Have we moved past the point as a society where we can say a black female sucks at her job because she does.

A law enforcement department that hasn't exactly distinguished itself over the years.
It took the police department in the little town of Zachary to break the case on Derrick Todd Lee.
The Baton Rouge police department, including that "task force" led by Moreau were completely off target on who exactly they were looking for; even baffled by what was happening basically right under their collective noses.

DTL had been suspected of being responsible in a cold case for years IIRC.
Want to say the outgoing chief, David McDavid, was sure DTL was responsible and pushed for a DNA sample to test against that case. It was provided and then he immediately blew town for Atlanta.

They were but Allie’s dad and boss called them out.
