Fed Chairman Jerome Powell warns it will be 'very challenging' to tame inflation without steep job losses across the US economy after hiking interest rates to 3.25% - the highest level since 2008

Hope for the best. Good luck everyone. I know Brandon didn't carry the OT.

Well, killing demand by killing the middle class is certainly a strategy for combatting inflation. So they have that going for them, which is nice.

If we had the liberals way we would extend covid programs for the foreseeable future, print money and nobody works. But unemployment would be zero because no one would be looking for jobs. You’d be dumb to if the government pays you to sit at home.

They’ll have to kill the economy before it can rise from the ashes.

They mention wide spread layoffs in the article. What industries are the most vulnerable when it comes to this?

Where’s Paul Allen?

I want him to continue telling us that housing prices are going up because of a lack of supply

Cause and effect. Some people will suffer pain. Fortunately for my family, we all have secure positions. We will profit while others suffer. I’ll make sure to give back and donate to the people I deem appropriate.

I don’t understand why layoffs would be coming. Most places still struggling to hire people. People just need to stop spending money and this will chill out. Demand needs to come down until supply catches up (never).

My company is already planning layoff from inflation and the effects inflation are having on customers (cutting back spending). Biden and the Covidiots ruined everything
