where did Daemon disappear to when the attack started? They show him and Rhaenyra together with him holder her face then the view gets blocked, someone screams and we see Criston wailing on the guy. We see the other guy come and rescue her but, Daemon is nowhere in sight?

I'd put Daemon and Rhaenyra on the crazy side though
He's on the good side, just weak.

I have loved this show and really enjoyed this episode, but I have to complain a little bit. I really hated how Criston confessed to Alicent. It seemed like a way that Screech would confess to something when a teacher is asking him about something completely different. I thought they could've done it in a more believable way. Maybe they could've had Alicent explain her whole question, then Criston confesses to being the one Rhaenyra slept with as a way to protect her. I don't know. Clearly, I'm not a writer, but I felt like that scene was so telegraphed. Ten seconds into it, I was thinking "they're not going to have him confess to this due to Alicent fumbling at her words are they? Yep, they're going to do it."

Me as soon as I saw Alicent stumbling over her words and leaving the door open for his dumbass to confess

Because there comes a time when Rhaenyra and Laenor have children, if they don’t look mixed then people will know for certain they aren’t Laenor’s children.
Their hair color is still the issue. Also, you would be surprised at the range that comes in descending generations of mixed racial families.

remember when ned stark was reading aloud the descriptions of Cersei's kids?

Yup, the shot of the kids had brown-arse hair.
And they had a line over the footage saying "Everyone is questioning their parentage" or something like that. Even Hodor would know something is up if two Valyarian houses couldn't produce a properly haired child.

Parents are dead so maybe ask my wife and 5 kids.

Same, they know what they want and aren't ashamed of how they'll go about getting it. They actually understand the power they wield as members of the ruling house of Westeros.
There are not willing to scheme and play games. Just make it known and go with it.

I don't think this is just him being dumb but him legitimately wanting to confess to both ruin Rhaenarya for rejecting him and to pay for his own actions. It feels in some ways that confession was really a suicide attempt. He clearly states that he knows the penalty and asks only that they not torture and geld him and give him a clean death. He states earlier that his honor as a knight was all he had and he knows he has now ruined that. He seemed to feel almost relieved to tell her and surprised by her reaction. Of course we see later after beating Joffrey to death he was ready to take his own life himself so this is what I think caused him to confess more than just him being dumb and misunderstanding the situation.

Yes but it makes everyone nervous if you may not be on their good side.

I just watched it again. When she first started talking, it can definitely be argued that she was fumbling at her words. It doesn't really matter. When the queen was talking delicately and discreetly through her sentences, I was hoping they wouldn't have Cole confess due to confusion.

Considering this foolish (and apparently Screechesque) confession, his naivete in believing R would just run off with him, and his battering of Joffery's noggin...I do believe Ser Criston is neither too bright nor too stable.

So many great memes and reactions from this episode on twitter:

I think if he was simply worried about being found out he wouldn’t have so eagerly confessed to the Queen earlier and if he was worried about blackmail I think he would have found a more discreet way to get rid of him. He was full of pure rage and I think part of it was Joffrey implying that the two of them were one in the same now, both side pieces to more important people. It’s a reminder to him of how he threw away the greatest honor his house had ever known by forsaking his vows.

Meanwhile on the other end of the confession spectrum, we have Daemon accused of murdering his wife, and just choosing to look into that man's soul and ask him when he'll be inheriting his wife's title in the Vale

I audibly said "Oh, shite" while watching the episode alone when he did that.
