My cousin and I are going to Louder Than Life Festival this Saturday. Just need affordable places to look at. Friend was at Bourbon and Beyond and said food and drink prices were ridiculous.

Whiskey Kitchen was good. Wild Eggs for breakfast, awesome fresh squeezed OJ. Jeff Ruby’s isn’t affordable but they make a great steak. Not saying these are the best but I was there a couple weeks ago for the first time and that’s where we ate.

My son was just there this weekend and highly recommended this place: River House

Go across the river to Red Yeti in Jeffersonville. Really good food and honest prices.

Highly recommend Repeal in downtown if you get in although that might be a long shot this late.
Also recommend:
- Bourbons Bistro (Frankfort Avenue)
- La Bodeguita (Cuban in Nulu). Lots of cool stuff here. Evergreen liquors is across the street and you can try some of the rarest bourbons known to man for very affordable prices. West 6th is a brewery near here that is my personal favorite.
- Swizzle. Rooftop restaurant in downtown Louisville. It’s rotates 360 degrees and you can see for miles over the river into Indiana and the Louisville skyline. Great atmosphere
- Veranese. Same chef as Riverhouse. Great food. Gallant fox brewing is right next door and has great stuff
Someone mentioned Riverhouse previously. That is also a good spot for food and is on the Ohio River

A bunch of good places to eat and drink on E Market just east of downtown. Jack Fry’s off Bardstown is another great place.

Go get pizza at The Post. Proof on Main is also good.

I’ll be up there this weekend as well but we are touring distilleries. We are going to Mayan Cafe, La Bodeguita de Mima, and Proof on main which were all recommended by a Louisville native on this board.

La Bodeguita was great whenever we went. We had a group of 8 and sat outside and had a great time.
