Mason Taylor is a better tight end than Bech. Bech is about the 5th best wide receiver. Sorry, guy. My football acumen seems to align with Kelly’s.

No one is gonna make Bech turn in his lunch pales, motors, or locker room keys.

Pretty sure Bech is hurt which is why he's not playing as much but don't know for sure. Wouldn't surprise me he's 100% and Denbrock is just that dumb not to put someone like that in over Kole Taylor who I'm still surprised is on this roster tbh. He's not an SEC TE sorry.

Like I said, y’all have a taste in your mouth for him to be better than he is.
You’ll be saying he’s not that great when he’s in the pros catching TDs.

“So what if he started as a true freshman over all the same guys we have this year and immediately contributed, he’s not really that great.”

I could be wrong, but one of the plays highlighted by the announcers where Daniels missed an open WR it was Bech that beat the coverage on a corner route and would have had a long TD if Daniels threw it. He's been open on crossing routes I've seen too, but he's not the only one.

That being said, Nabers and Boutte are more dynamic WRs and Jenkins continues to prove to be a reliable WR. I'd prefer we play more 4 wide sets and utilize space. We have too much talent at WR to not force defenses to stop our receivers.

I truly hope he does, but he doesn’t seem to catch td’s in college so I doubt the pros will be what you want it to be for him.

Im sure he will be eventually, but he’s not even close as a receiver today. He’s out there because we have so few TEs, but if we are talking about actually getting the best players on the field at the same time, Bech should be in ahead of him on obvious passing downs.

Taylor’s receiving stats are a mediocre 6 catches for 57 yards so far and he’s had several drops and doesn’t know when to break off a route and sit in an open spot in the zone. He plays like a typical true freshman. I’m sure he will get better, but he’s not ready as a pass catcher today and he hasn’t been that great as a blocker yet, either.

He is healthy. There must be some personal beef between Brian Kelly and Bech.

How many hours per day do they allow you access to the internet at the group home for retarded people?

The rant wants him to be good so bad they can taste it. He’s been passed up by better players though.

They moved him to WR

This puts Mason T on th field and Mason isn’t the receiving threat like Bech. Need to move him back

100% this. You want to take Nabors, Boutte, Jenkins or Thomas out for him?

No, I want Mason Taylor out

We are struggling in general to get the ball to any of our WRs.

Bech is probably 5th on the depth chart behind Boutte, Nabors, Thomas, and Jenkins.

If we were rolling on offense spreading it around he’d catch a lot of balls. In this offense he probably won’t catch 20 all year.

It’s why every effort needs to be made to improve Daniels and having him get the ball out. Our best players are at WR.

Maybe, but I guess the coaches think Taylor is better at protection. I’m not a coach… but I trust their personnel decisions.

I’ve seen this movie before when Trey Quinn was in the lead role.

uh, Trey Quinn had a lot of talent. Caught 114 balls in his year at SMU, was drafted, and hung around the NFL for 4 years.

Now yes, his drops against Bama sealed his fate here, but Quinn was a weapon we didn't use properly.

Talent isn’t Bech’s issue, he’s very talented. He is just behind more talented players here at LSU.

Not good SEC ones.

You must not have watched LSU in 2021. Bech had some of his best games in SEC play. Bech is absolutely a mismatch against any LBer and he's big and athletic enough to be a mismatch against almost any safety as well.

It's like you guys just wanna argue random points. He isn't on the field cause he has a stress fracture in his leg that he isn't over yet. It's been said multiple times in this thread. BK was asked about it last week in a press conference... He isn't 100% yet plain and simple...

Meh. His season high for receptions was 7 against Auburn. If you think that’s good, then great. But we can expect better play from our wr’s and tight ends. This is LSU.

Jenkins has as many touchdowns this year as Bech did all of last year. We’ll call your post an “opinion “.
