A lot of blame falls at that fricker’s feet

Ole Bodi was a shite option, but he'd be 100x better than Broome.

ETA: If Bodi had won though, you can guarantee Paul isn't police chief, and you almost certainly don't have the lawsuit opposition to St. George. That's two major wins.

Kip may have had good intentions but wasn't it his administration that pushed for part of Government to be faux gentrified with a median and a bike lane?

Beautifying part of one main street to make it an entertainment destination doesn't address any real problems two streets over and in this case may have lead to a false sense of security among a naive population of college students.

Wtf

Ruston is definitely better than BR, but Ruston is also very good at hiding its skeletons.

Damn this story hits home for me. I have a 21 year old daughter who is a senior at LSU. I tell her all the time not to go north of campus if she can avoid it.

But she does like to go to Elsie's Plate and Pie on Government, but usually during daytime hours.

Damn it, now I'm gonna worry more about her.

This is getting out of hand. It might be time for the chief to throw a few more reporters out of a few press conferences.

Nope. Not at all.

She was murdered sitting in her car waiting for the train to pass it appears. Shot multiple times by scum of the earth.

I'd love to know your source on that. I've heard nothing about that and I have some pretty deep connections.

I’d be ok if the father of this girl found the perpetrator, hog-tied him, and then left him on those same railroad tracks. Although that would be a little too lenient of a punishment imo.

It would become my life's mission to ensure it would go unpunished.

I think a lot of people will be back tracking in this thread. It looks like it is a domestic dispute and not a robbery/car jacking/drug deal.

Apparently the dad claimed it in the press, per reading this thread.

Just curious, according to what? because it doesn't look like that from any of the news being reported

I used to live in Mid City and travel towards those tracks every single day on my way to and from downtown for work. If I caught a train, I always left enough room either between me and the train of me and the car in front to get out should shite go wrong. Wish that girl had thought of that. Sketchy as hell around there.

The updated story linked in the OP says "Rice's car was stopped at a railroad crossing and had multiple bullet holes in it when police found it, sources said."

I guess that doesn't necessarily mean she was stopped for the train when the shooting happened, but that would be quite the coincidence. If she was driving, the vehicle would have kept going until it ended up off the road.
