Any interest in Taysom Hill at TE?

I mean the Td skewed his productivity but he should be in line to get some important touches and goal line work. At a position where just scoring a TD makes you basically a top 5 option he might be worth a grab right?

TE is such a garbage position in fantasy so I guess it’s worth the gamble if they keep feeding him in wildcat situations

Most stay away because he’s such a unique player. But if they get him touches, he has historically produced very well.
He’ll probably let you down majorly some games but also will be a top 3 TE some weeks.

Worst case scenario he performs like any other bottom feeder available. Best case is what happened last week. Breaks a couple nice runs and gets in the end zone. The touches will be there, he’s too good a football player to not get him involved.

He should be one of the top waiver wire adds heading into Week 2. Particularly in leagues where he's got a dual listing (My Yahoo leagues have him listed as QB,TE). They didn't pay him all that money to be QB, nor sit around on the bench. He's their "Swiss Army Knife". You'll see him continue the role with direct snaps on occasion, and may pass catches. And, he might double as a QB if Jameis gets hurt.

Hill only played 16 out of 61 snaps. Tough to find consistent points playing a quarter of the snaps. You’ll be chasing RZ opps from a TE
Meanwhile Juwan Johnson played 75%, and ran a route on 79% of those snaps. May be the actual one to watch on the Saint offense. 5 targets

Yes but the difference is when Hill is on the field he’s getting a play designed for him half the time. So 16 snaps is likely to turn into 6-8 opportunities. Factor in that those are often around the goal line and it’s intriguing

8 of the 16 snaps were blocking
4 routes, 1 target
4 rushes
They still have AK41 and Ingram and all the WRs and TEs. That’s a lot TDs to spread around. He’s fun and will have his moments, but at that usage it’s tough. Maybe he will be more involved under a normal game flow

I’m not saying he’s a league winner, but unless you have an elite tight end he’s as good of a dart through as most of the others with a higher upside, especially in a non PPR

Well no, he had 4 rushes and target. So 5 plays
15 TEs had at least 5 targets last week
I understand what you’re saying. Just leaving 2 cents for ya

Yeah, I think it depends on what other TE you can get. I would go Hill over some other TEs who get more snaps.
He may have some low scores, but a lot of TEs are crapshoots. At least he is often maximized when he is out there. I also wonder about Kamara’s
health and if they will continue to get Hill goal line carries. He is more effective running the ball than the backup RBs for the Saints IMO. Have to make sure fumbling doesn’t become an issue though.

Taysom
6 snaps out of a possible 66
2 routes ran, 0 targets
3 carries 14 yards
Don’t take the cheese

And that's with Kamara being out.

Too inconsistent to trust going forward.

He's too easy for teams that are even decent to defend. They know he's going to keep it every time.

The saints are a bit of a mess on offense. Almost like they have too many mouths to feed.
Jameis is also pretty bad, and he’s playing hurt. It’s just gross from top to bottom.
