Doesn't Bert chug a bottle of wine on the treadmill regularly?

He, Mark, and Ari are my favorite Kill Tony guest hosts, along with Tim Dillon. I love how Shane/Mark/Ari balance each other out.

Is Bert still pissed at Ari for drugging him? I haven't listened to any of them in a while.

I saw Tom Segura at L'Auberge back in July. He talked shite about Bert. Don't tell him tomorrow night though.

Saw Stanhope at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans. Couldn't even tell you how long ago it was probably 2006 or 2007 if I had to guess. A buddy of mine used to be pretty good friends with Doug so we hung out with him after the show and got sloshed. Nice guy.

It was 2005, while things were still coming back post-Katrina. Im pretty sure I sat next to your buddy and he was already pretty damn hammered pre-show.

As a point of reference, some juggalo a-hole in full clown makeup was next to us.

Also, this would have been on Doug’s birthday.

That sounds like a Stanhope crowd for damn sure.

He's forgiven him, but his wife still hates his guts.

I met him years back at Eunice Mardi Gras. Fun guy. I'd have a beer with him.

Segura is far from new or "new-ish"

I know. He’s been around since 2005 or so. Probably doing open mics since 1999 or 2000. He’s more new to me. And fairly new on a national scene. He is everywhere now. With hustle of podcasts and YouTube channels.

Dane Cook is funnier than Kreischer. He's that bad.

He can't go a podcast without trying to name drop people and Burr had to shut him down when he kept trying to get into other people's business.

So you’re a Burr fan? That’s ok. Know why? Bill Burr is fricking awesome. Doesn’t mean Bert compares to Dane Cook. He is just not your cup of tea.

Bert is a great story teller. Who has partied more than most and still parties. He has a way of taking some regular drunken stories we’ve all had and making them funny. Then taking insane stories like The Machine and making them a bit he almost has to tell for a good show.

It’s comedy man. It’s like music. It takes care of itself. If you’re truly not funny you don’t earn a living. I’m sure there are people who think Carlin, Pryor, and Chapelle are overrated. I’d bet they are rare. But they are out there.

Kreischer essentially is Dane Cook for the average joe (ie he’s not “hot”). I admire them both, but it’s just charismatic storytelling. Youth pastor energy.

It is impressive he’s now had 2 films made about his life events. Too bad Van Wilder never covered his stint as the kinda-sorta singer of Creed (which may be bullshite)
