"She says she's never been so happy, but Lisa lives in fear. That one day Daddy's gonna find out that she's in love
With a n**** from the streets"

Blessed union of souls "I believe "
Hard to believe that a group with that name would have that in a radio hit in the 90s

Rock You Like A Hurricane"~Scorpions

It's early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
It scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin?
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I've got to leave
It's time for a show

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He's licking his lips
He's ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane (Are you ready, baby?)
Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane
Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane (Come on, come on, baby)
Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane

Rock you like a hurricane

It's early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
It scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin?

The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He's licking his lips
He's ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane (Are you really ready, baby?)
Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane
Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane (Come on, come on, come on, come on)
Here I am
Rock you like a hurricane

I like “Any Man of Mine” except for the end. Just why?
(You gotta shimmy and shake)
(Make the earth quake)
(Kick, turn, stomp, stomp)
(Then you jump)
(Heel to toe, Do Si Do)
('Til your boots wanna break)
('Til your feet and your back ache)
(Keep it movin' 'til you just can't take anymore)
(Come on everybody on the floor)
(A one, two, a three four)
(Hup two, hup, yeh)

I wish that I could fly
Into the sky
So very high
Just like a dragonfly

… I'd fly above the trees
Over the seas in all degrees
To anywhere I please, oh

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah, yeah, yeah

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah, yeah, yeah

… Let's go and see the stars
The Milky Way or even Mars
Where it could just be ours

… Let's fade into the sun
Let your spirit fly
Where we are one
Just for a little fun
Oh, oh, oh yeah

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah, yeah, yeah

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah, yeah, yeah

… I got to get away (get away, get away)
Girl, I got to get away (get away, get away)
Oh, oh, oh yeah

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah (with you), yeah, yeah (oh yeah)

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah (with you) yeah, yeah
I got to get away

… I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away, yeah

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah (with you) yeah, yeah
Oh girl, I got to get away

… I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away
I want to get away, yeah

… I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah (with you) yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Oh yeah, sharing the night

Keep in mind that taken out of context and printed out even the best rock lyrics will often look like sixth-grade doggerel. They were designed to be sung, not printed out and read.

Also understand that the Tin Pan Alley tradition of Lorenz Hart, Ira Gershwin and Johnny Mercer ("Hey man, nobody ever said we were as good as Johnny Mercer" -- Bob Dylan, 1980s) which was continued by the Brill Building writers (Leiber-Stoller, Goffin-King, Pomus-Shuman et al), was largely dropped by rock songwriters in the '60s, who began to favor total emotion, with form mostly ignored.

Still, there are examples of appalling lack of craftsmanship:

This is a story about Billy Joe and Bobbie Sue
Two young lovers with nothin' better to do
Than sit around the house, get high, and watch the tube
And here is what happened when they decided to cut loose
They headed down to, ooh, old El Paso
That's where they ran into a great big hassle
Billy Joe shot a man while robbing his castle
Bobbie Sue took the money and run

Hoo-hoo-hoo, go on, take the money and run
Go on, take the money and run
Hoo-hoo-hoo, go on, take the money and run
Go on, take the money and run

Hoo-hoo-hoo, billy Mack is a detective down in Texas
You know he knows just exactly what the facts is
He ain't gonna let those two escape justice
He makes his livin' off of the people's taxes
Bobbie Sue, whoa, whoa, she slipped away
Billy Joe caught up to her the very next day
They got the money, hey, you know they got away
They headed down south and they're still running today

Well, I've been walkin' behind you
Since you've been able to see...
You've been talkin' in circles
Since I've been able to cry

One of the worst songs ever

"Brown Sugar" - The Rolling Stones

[Verse 1]
Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields
Sold in the market down in New Orleans
Scarred old slaver knows he's doing alright
Hear him whip the women just around midnight

[Chorus]
Brown sugar, how come you taste so good? Uh huh
Brown sugar, just like a young girl should, uh huh, oh (Woo)

[Verse 2]
Drums beating, cold English blood runs hot
Lady of the house wonderin' when it's gonna stop
House boy knows that he's doing alright
You shoulda heard 'em just around midnight

[Chorus]
Brown sugar, how come you taste so good now?
Brown sugar, just like a young girl should now (Yeah)

[Chorus]
Ah, get on, brown sugar, how come you taste so good?
Ah, got me craving the, the brown sugar
Just like a black girl should, yeah

[Verse 3]
Ah, and I bet your mama was a tent show queen
And all her boyfriends were sweet sixteen
I'm no schoolboy, but I know what I like
You shoulda heard me just around midnight

[Chorus]
Brown sugar, how come you taste so good, baby?
Ah, come down, brown sugar
Just like a young girl should, yeah

[Outro]
I said, yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
How come you, how come you taste so good?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
Just like a, just like a black girl should
Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

In fact, it’s cold as hell
And there’s no one there to raise them, if you did”
