It may not be as bad as we think

After several hours to think about it, I’m a little more optimistic. We don’t know how improved this FSU team is, but several weeks from we’ll have a good idea. They may just be a really good team this year, and we almost took them to OT. JD didn’t look good, but can we really count him out after 1 game? No. Don’t know what the issue with Boutte is, but Coach may have to make a difficult decision. The tackling was atrocious, and hopefully it improves. Same with the OL. But let’s be optimistic, there’s a long way to go and nothing is out of reach after this 1 close loss.
ETA- special teams was atrocious too, but that should be able to be fixed.

Don’t kid yourself. Prepare yourself for a Les Miles predictable offense until next year when we get a new offensive coordinator.

Except Kelly runs the offense we all knew this. Now somehow it's all on Denbrock and a new OC will magically fix it. All you're missing is to make sure the back up qb plays in the new OC "spread" concepts system and we will be national Champs again.

Everybody said the same shite about ucla last year. “Maybe they’re just really good” and they ended up sucking. Same will happen with fsu

It amazes me how this board has convinced itself that all the new coaching hires coming from playoff and national championship teams just forgot how to coach all of the sudden. Totally logical thinking by this board as usual.

Then we’re in bigger trouble.

Anyone with eyes can see FSU is not a good team. They will be lucky if their poor QB who played well will make it past the halfway mark in the season. Their DBs are not good LSU WRs were open all night unfortunately Daniels wasn't seeing the field well enough there until late. Their WRs are not good either which makes me wonder how good our DBs actually are. They really only moved the ball from blown assignments on the DBs. They actually blanketed them manned up especially deep coverage.

What offense works when you can't control the line of scrimmage?

That FSU team was bad. Plain and simple. So was that LSU team. Norvel can’t get out of his own way.

Where is our talent on offense? It’s at wr and no where else.
If you have no oline then you can’t do the scheme cam Cameron 2.0 wants. If he can’t see that we have problems.

Fsu won't suck as bad as UCLA because they play in a weak conference. They'll lose to Clemson and Florida, and one or two other teams.

what scheme will work with no OL to block in the run or pass game?

It’s not as bad as we are making out to be. But it’s not about FLA st. The did an excellent job of executing what we gave them. Secondary was way better than we saw most of last year. We really didn’t give up that much Big plays. We played a little too soft for how well they were executing.
Our offense got derailed by some bad/boneheaded play. But only punted 2 times. Bad snaps, WR not looking, drops, and poor situational awareness on the ends can change over the course of a few games. All is not lost. This was never going to be an 11 win team like some people around here thought. But while it is doom and gloom, remember it took quite a few players having a worse than average night for us to lose by 1. This team could easily turn out to be what most of us rational people thought they would be before last night.

Different coaches...same bbq sauce.

It is. I don't think FSU is any good...7 win team or so. Our offensive line is so bad, and it won't improve over the course of the season. The opponents will only be considerably better, the grind will get tougher, etc. The "offense", if you call it that, is strictly just the QB scrambling for his life.
The special teams - i.e., punt return, punts, field goal, and so forth were abysmal.

Fsu did amazingly dumb things last night to try and lose that game. They are bad

They have to open the offense up more. LSU played way too conservatively.
