Barr is a reason why they could do what they did to Trump. fricking loser.

Fights smart: Doesn’t give back to Democrats what they give him.
No, Thanks.
No, Thanks.

This is truly the first time my eyebrow’s been raised about DeSantis. Still like him but this nugget has been deposited “in the back of my head.”

frick Barr. He was on Fox yesterday thumping his chest about how there’s no conceivable reason why a third party would be needed to review the items taken from MAL.
Really? No conceivable reason at all?
Yeah, frick Barr.

Yeah, frick Barr.

He had to pick someone who could be approved, his interim guy was good (as I recall), but would never have been approved. His choices were greatly limited.

No matter what anyone says, you’re exactly right. Your line of thinking on that is very good. Pretty much the majority of folks who rebuke Trump for “muh hire the best people” do so having considered maybe 20% of all the relevant, indispensable factors necessary to come up with a mature opinion on the matter. But they sure act like they’re in command of 110% of the necessary info. Lolol

Have you ever thought that establishment is pushing him to undercut his popularity and isolate him from his base? In that scenario, he would have to turn to their side

If Barr is for DeSantis there must be something wrong with him.

It sucks, but what has Ron ever done to convince you people he's part of the establishment?

It's because they want to win, and DeSantis is the most electable candidate we can run in 2024. Over 5 million people in both 2016 and 2020 voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but didn't vote for Trump. These 5 million people aren't natural allies of the Democratic coalition. They're Republicans and registered Independents (who historically vote R) that HATE Trump and will never vote for him. Most of these people are in the suburbs. They will, however, vote for literally any other person with a "R" next to their name. They voted for down-ballot Republicans they couldn't even pick out of a lineup.
Liberals know this, which is why MSNBC and the Lincoln Project want Trump to run again. They know he has limitations electorally - especially with these voters and suburban women - which is not the case for DeSantis, and they want Trump to take out more electable candidates in the GOP primary. The Lincoln Project sent out a tweet trying to egg on Trump to run again in the summer of 2021 after a poll found DeSantis ahead.

Barr is no authority on TRUMPS replacement...

You think Barr’s issues with Trump have anything to do with him not firing Fauci?

This is EXACTLY why I haven't jumped on the Desantis wagon.
You have people like Barr shilling for him. Not only that, but the RINOs are starting to line up behind him, and even some very liberal blue checks are promoting "he'd be better than Biden!" Top this off with China's well known list of people whom they deem "not friendly" to them, and Ron's name does NOT appear on that list.
Everyone should be paying attention to this. If Ron truly cares about a FREE America, he will promote Trump and wait until 2028 to make his move for Presidency while he continues to turn Florida deeper red. If Ron announces for 2024, however, it would be a killing blow to the Republican party's chance at taking the WH back because it would cause a massive fault line among conservative voters.
That's my take, and always has been. If Desantis waits, I'll get on board with him. He says and does the right things so far. But if he chooses to step in and torpedo Trump, he's pretty clearly being weaponized to kill the MAGA movement completely. I like Ron, but there's something... weird, about the guy. I get a similar vibe from Kari Lake that I get relentlessly downvoted for when I choose to mention it. I had the same vibe about Nikki Haley, John Bolton and Kristi Noem too, and they turned out to be fake. Barr actually had me fooled though.

The anti Desantis posts in this thread re-affirms my suspicions that many of you are almost as bat shite crazy as the leftist nutties

The whole point to MAGA is taking the country back from the Uniparty.
Barr has been blocking the declassified evidence that the Deepstate Uniparty was behind Muh'Russians.
So if Barr is defending the Deepstate, and Barr is promoting Desantis, then Desantis is Deepstate. Pretty simple.

I like Trump (1) and Desantis (2) and plan to vote for both. But let me tell you what I observed as a non-combative, try-to-see-all-sides poster where I first noticed this unproductive “Team Desantis vs Team Trump” fad arise. It was not from those who never moved off Trump, aka Trump supporters, but rather former Trump people who all gave the same oath “I voted for Trump twice, but…..” and then a flurry of Trump slights and slaps to follpw. Then the ever-popular “YOU PEOPLE aren’t capable of criticizing Trump blah blah blah” merely because the Trumpites dared respond to the jeers. At the same time those former supporters were also heavily touting Desantis. Thus, Trump bad, Desantis good. Post after post, thread after thread.
So it should be no mystery why and where the return fire came from.
Now, everybody needs to come off it before I go break off a switch.

Pretty simply retarded.
Based on actions, there is more evidence that Trump is GOPe than there is that DeSantis is.
I wouldn’t label either one of them GOPe but if you’ve got to hang it on one them, Trump is wearing that crown.

DeSantis would outperform Trump in nearly every state in a head to head with Biden. It’s not really a question who knows anything about elections. There’s a reason why people like John James outperformed Trump in Michigan, he simply gets just a few more suburban voters than Trump

The actual record of Trump's MAGA vote totals which includes the highest ever percentage of blacks, Latinos and working-class voters supporting a republican (for the first time) destroys this nonsensical guess.
On national scale, DeSantis would equal a Romney election result.

.... which, I might add, is exactly the reason the professional republican party, a private club and corporation operating on behalf of corporate interests, would want to nominate him.

The multinationals & billionaire donors to the republican presidential candidate do not lose when the GOP candidate loses. The status quo is in their interests (they are already billionaires under current system). In most cases the hedging is the reason for the support.
Also it took Ron and his team 24 hours to respond to Biden's Red Scare speech. That is not going to cut it if he has presidential aspirations.
