It would be a quick flight less than an hour and a 1/2 and it is a 4th of the price of all the other flights.

90% chance its fine

10% chance a couple queens have a brawl

That chance becomes higher if its the MSY-ATL route

It's a Sonic with wings and less food.

You'll be perfectly fine, Nance.

It’s not that they’re universally awful but rather that they vary so much. Kinda like a flying Greyhound bus

i've flown it a few times and never had a problem. that said, if all things are equal (other than pice), i'll pay a good bit extra for a better airline.

It’s not like the United, American, and Delta’s of the world are any better.

Flight itself is probably fine. But spirit service (or lack thereof) is where the whole thing falls apart.

If your flight gets canceled they won’t help you rebook on another airline. And that cheap price you paid is all you’ll get back. They have few flights and fewer planes, so rebooking is also probably not a reliable option. Source: flew them once. Delayed almost an entire day going there. Canceled going back and was told to figure out a place to stay for two extra days. People behind us in line were told to figure it out for a full week.

I survived a DFW-MSY spirit flight. Not that bad if they don't get you with all the add on fees

It’s essentially a flying greyhound bus.

There is a Travel Board, you know.

My rule is 4 hours. Anything more than a 4 hour flight, do not use spirit. 2-3 hour flight, it’s fine. You’ll be treated as luggage, but who cares, it’s a $50 flight. Surprisingly, Spirit has the highest safety rating.

Only way I would ever consider spirit is if the flight is under 2 hours.

I’ve never had a bad experience the handful of times I’ve flown spirit, but you get what you pay for and the cheap ticket shows.

First off, travel board has your answers.

2nd, don’t check a bag and be prepared to have flight delayed and/or cancelled.

3rd, is it still 1/4 price after all the add ons?

They delay/cancel them half the time. If you don’t care when you get there or when you get back, they’re great

It's $12 extra if you want a cushion on your seat.

Dude carry ons are free. Any dufflebag is considered a carry on. If you’re traveling less than 4 hours away, all you need is a dufflebag.

I've always been seated next to a fattie on Spirit flights, but besides that they seem ok.
