John McCain probably does much worse in 2008 without Palin. Palin might be nuts, but nobody was excited about John McCain.

This was a special election to fulfill the term of the recently deceased congress-critter Dan Young. It took several days to fabricate …err….count….the mail-in votes.
The Republican vote was split by Alaska’s new “ranked choice” tabulation as only one Democrat ran. Palin will be back on the ballot in November for an election for the full term.
