South Park Question

I work from home a few days of the week and the last month or so i've had South Park on Comedy Central on during the day.
For all the shows they've made they sure do cycle through the same 15-20 episodes. I've already seen some the same episodes 3 times already.

Seems like that would be a Comedy Central scheduling shortcoming.
I stopped watching Comedy Central when the time allotted to commercials began to be on par with the featured shows.
When they add five minutes to a show it's not because they found additional content.

they have a library of 100's of shows why do they play the same 15-20?

I would just assume they cycle through their most popular episodes.
HBO has all them available to stream. You can start S1 Ep.1 and not have a re run until you're finished with S25

ah, that's right, good call!

I assume they have restricted broadcast rights because of HBO. They cycle all the way through The Office pretty frequently, but South Park might be limited to certain seasons during certain periods.

Someone at Comedy Central must have seen this thread, they've been showing early season episodes this week. Nice break from the Tegrity shite they've been marathoning for the last 2 years.

I think I recall after their last deal, Comedy Central gets a certain allotment a for re runs at various times. They probably just give them different mixes of 100 episodes at a time

Just like the History Channel isn’t about history anymore, and you can’t learn shiite from The Learning Channel, Comedy Central is trying intentionally to become unfunny, what better way than take one of the few funny shows and beat them into the ground with the same few episodes?

Get the Comedy Central app and stream In order by season.
I forgot how funny the early ones were -
Miss Kenny dying every episode.

I have a South Park question. How well does it hold up? I stopped watching around season 4. Would it be better to do a full rewatch or just check out the most recent seasons?

HBO deal. They want you to pay to see everything.
Honestly, CC is an awful channel.
It's still mostly great. Since it's satire that was usually done the week of whatever they're mocking, you'll need to know what was going on and why they're spoofing it to get it sometimes.
Sure they had some misses, but it's still a culturally relevant and entertaining show.

It’s still my favorite tv show. They have great and not so great episodes. But you’ve missed a lot of good shite if you stopped at season 4.
You could watch some of the newer ones, but sometimes they do call backs to old characters and events. These don’t take away from the episodes but they do enhance them.
Just keep going. It’s better than most shite on tv anyway.

Sounds like a Comedy Central question more than a South Park one.

I did like how in the last Special Randy called out how Tegridy had ruined his character.

normally they have like specials like it fits with a certain theme or they play episodes that have like songs in them bc they have been doing that

They definitely do run the same episodes. I work from home on Mondays and the same episodes are always on. But, they are awesome episodes so I continue to watch.

Honestly, I really liked the Tegrity Farms stuff when it first came out, but I'm really over it now. They should move on IMO.
