I don’t think he’s worried about Kelly but I do think he recognizes good coaching ability and respects both it and the game. He knows Kelly will be successful here now that he’s got SEC talent.

I think he has a renewed worry with the emergence of NIL. He had a well oiled recruiting machine going before that leveled the playing field a bit. For now at least.

LSU won in 2019 because of 3 things and only 3 things:
1) Alabama's D lost like 10 of the 14 front seven two deep so they literally had no chance to stop even an average offense much less a great offense.
2) Joe Burrow
3) Tua played on one foot and still threw for 400 yards.
LSU 2019 vs Alabama 2020 would be must see TV. Slight edge to Alabama's offense over LSU's. Alabama rarely had a 3rd down. LSU did depend on some Burrow to Chase up for grabs throws.
