Rain hurt my field. I needed to get in there last week to finish it up. Doves are not thick like they were last weekend.
How are the dove reports other places?
Im in West central MS.

Seeing a lot of birds around in my part of SC / GA. Seems like we had a good late hatch with many young birds.
My field in Georgia particularly has a lot of birds right now.

thicker than oatmeal for about another three days in the bean field across from my house. They should all disappear by Thursday or Friday if things go as usual.

Pretty decent amount yesterday afternoon. Estimate somewhere between 150-175 birds.
Im inbetween b-ham and tuscaloosa!

Did not see many birds at my place this weekend.
No idea if we will have enough to hunt or not but going to give it a shot.
This is the 1st year that there has been a field here so I'm hoping it will take them a while to find the millet.

They're easier to shoot when they're all tangled up in a Joro web.

you already bush hogged the millet? We bush hogged ours saturday and disked up the middle of the field. Then put out cracked and whole corn..

Had a pile every day for the last 3 weeks. They disappeared over the weekend. Hoping they show back up before Saturday.
Anybody else had them disappear already?

Yeah, I cut it on the 19th.
Ran a few lines through the field with the disc this past friday.

Yep.
Everybody I’ve talked to in NELA has said something similar.

Should I wear hearing protection or not? Asking for a friend.

You should probably go ahead and start learning sign language.
