re: Why is Alec Baldwin responsible for murder?

He is not. His insouciance with a weapon is deplorable, but it does not rise to the level of murder. However, as the co-producer (I believe), he is culpable for hiring a clearly unqualified armorer (or whatever they call the gun safety honcho) for that movie, probably to save money. And the armorer is culpable as well. I expect some large civil awards and perhaps a criminal conviction of negligent homicide, or whatever they call that these days.

Sure but also you would think rule one no real bullets on set
Rule one, no matter who has checked said firearm, you always check the firearm yourself before using it. Regardless of motive.

He is doubly culpable. He deserves prison time.
As an actor, he pointed a real gun with live ammo at her, fully cocked the hammer, and pulled the trigger. He knew the gun was real at the time. There is no excuse.
As a producer, there were extremely dangerous practices on set that he was responsible for. That real gun was used on set with real ammo for target shooting. It is against protocol and wildly unsafe to knowingly have real ammo on set in that gun, which will be used in a scene with prop ammo.

There are no accidents with firearms. Only neglegence and that is chargeable all day.

Maybe not. If your gun goes off for whatever reason in your house how do you think the authorities would respond and what charges would the DA bring? Now imagine that discharge went through walls into the neighbors house and killed someone. Think you'd be walking free even if you thought it was unloaded or supposed to be fake rounds? Not a chance.
What he did was beyond that. He pointed a gun, cocked it and fired it at someone.

He and the set armorer both should already be in jail.
I don’t think she was even on the scene when it happened,

Maybe he brought the bullets and loaded it

Aimed at the woman and pulled the trigger. Armorer said it wasn't her problem. So if the armorer didn't load the live ammunition... someone else did. Who is to say Alec didn't load the live ammunition himself?
His claim that he didn't even really cock the gun and it just fired by itself is absurd. The fact that he would lie about the simplest, easily proven shite... is enough to question whether or not he killed her on purpose. Because obviously he's trying to hide something.
His blaming of the victim is absurd.
His attitude of "lol, bitch died? So what? I'll pretend to be the biggest victim." Is disgusting.

He's lied about what happened twice now. The way I see it, it's safe to assume he did indeed load the live ammo. If it were truly an accident he wouldn't have lied about not pulling the hammer or the trigger. He would have explained exactly what happened.

1. Someone was shot and killed.
2. The person who pointed the loaded gun at the deceased and pulled the trigger, firing the killing bullet into their body, was Alec Baldwin.
Are you certain? The Feds dropped their case when they realized the decedent was still casting a ballot in recent elections.

Even if he’s found responsible, he won’t be charged with murder. Involuntary manslaughter at worse.

He was the producer. Held the gun . Didn’t check the weapon…

That is a terrible analogy, but I can make it work. If I am in my house, filming a movie that I am producing, and a professional armorer hands me a gun, saying, “This gun is not loaded”, and I shot someone with it I’d feel the same as what I posted above about Alec Baldwin.

Seems like there should have never been loaded gun on set Sure he is a douche but don't see how this is his fault
Movie sets have live ammo scenes. It’s his fault because he picked up a firearm without checking it, pointed it at an innocent person and pulled the trigger.

Because you treat every firearm as if it is loaded at all times and you never point a firearm at someone and pull the trigger.
Didnt he have to point and shoot it in that way to fulfill the part?

Baldwin should be charged with negligent homicide.

It’s nobody’s fault anymore. What kind of clown world do we live in?
What’s unreal to me besides people who think so little to hold people accountable is the amount of time to determine how to handle the situation. If it happened to you or me, we’d have been charged long ago, tried, and probably convicted.
Unless we were J6 protesters, we would just be incarcerated 18 months later with no charges brought.
Like I said, clown world.

No, he didn’t. That would be wildly unsafe. Why do you think he denies pulling the trigger?

I lean with you OP even though it’s not a popular opinion here.
Let’s see the employment contract which lists the Armorer’s employment duties. One of which is NO LIVE AMMO on set. Alec is an actor, not an armorer. She def should be charged with negligent homicide however.
