From a draft perspective, yes I would love that top pick but this team is making incredible strides towards being relevant in the stacked AFC.

They not only get the Jags twice, they also play the NFC East and the Bears. The Giants might be be worse than the Texans, and Washington isn’t much better.

Plus they have a bunch of middle of the pack teams on their schedule. Colts, Eagles, Dolphins, Chargers, and Broncos aren’t unbeatable. They beat the Chargers last season.

Plus, who knows what happens when Watson returns and his first game is in Houston.

Hope this stint is the very last for Lovie. Dude has fleeced every org he has worked for being a mediocre coach.

Unfortunately, it’s our expense now (Texans)

I wish they would have kept Culley for another year. They improved as the year went on, and could have just kept him this year and then moved on. The only reason they let him go was to hire McCown only for the Flores stuff to go down right when they were closing in on him. Lovie was the only reasonable option at that point.

Local radio talking about 7-9 wins seems like a real stretch. It’s all pretty sad as a transplant to Houston. The average Houstonian is so ate up with the loss of the oilers they will support this team regardless. It feels like ownership exploit this.

Damn, was thinking of Willis(Titans), not Mills(Texans). My bad. Still concerned a bit about TLaw.

—You are nuts. That guy was a disaster from day one thru his termination.

“What we found our during that time was, what you do is, you look at what [have] you been doing good?” Culley said. “The things you haven’t been doing good, eliminate those things, regardless of how we felt like these plays would work. They weren’t working. They weren’t very good. And what we found is that if you go back and look at the things you were doing good, we want to do more of those things now in the run game and the pass game. And then the other thing about that is when you look and you see what that is, you sit here and you say we got to get better at doing those things.”

I figure they will manage to win one here or there.

Having Jacksonville twice on the schedule helps.

Dude legit thought that the clock stopped late in the 4th against the Pats due to an incomplete pass and not because he used his final timeout. He also said the loss against the Dolphins was down to them losing the turnover battle even though the Texans were plus one in that game.

shite the guy would still have his job if he had just agreed to fire Tim Kelly, the o-line coach and two other position coaches, but dumbass couldn't even do that.
