The Center position is the qb of the line. If that is struggling then we are in for a long arse season

Interesting thoughts on philosophy in moving Dellinger to center.

"We'd like to see more leadership from Jaray. He can hear this right? Well he'll hear it. And consistency. Can he hear that too? We need to see that every day."
Damn. I think that speaks to both the previous coaching staff and not holding players accountable every day, for even the little things. But it also speaks to Jaray—he’s a Senior and is responsible for his own actions. This quote seems to suggest he doesn’t bring it at practice every day, like maybe he coasts some days, then tries to turn it on others. Probably explains why a guy with his physical skills took so long to get regular playing time and is still in college during his 5th year.
He should have been ready to step in and be the #1 in 2020 after Marshall got hurt and in ‘21 after Boutte did. He had flashes, but wasn’t consistent, like Kelly alluded to. Maybe this will get through to him—that’s a pretty big public call out by a head coach for a Senior. He can either pout or hear it and get better. Let’s hope it’s the latter.
Funny, though, that the OP mentioned great days by Jenkins and Nabers (sounds like a great one from Nabers), that Daniels appeared to clearly be the 1 and moved the ball well, Mason Smith is unblockable, etc…and the 1st several posts were all about being concerned about the Center snap. It’s what I was gonna 1st reply to after reading the OP. Seems like we are more worried than BK, but woah, that could disastrous if it continues into the season. Still 18 days to go, but I know I don’t like hearing it.

So both QBs did well. Perhaps neither is separating themselves because they’re both playing that well.

We can see why banks left ohio state now
our heisman hopeful Emery is 3rd string?

Do they have Burns lined up at FS or SS? I'm assuming he's a FS?

It's odd to me how little Emery gets mentioned. I wonder if he's not running with the 1s.

One of O's biggest recruiting failures was letting this guy get away. Would have been a day 1 starter for LSU in an absolute position of need.
Van Pran from day 1 wanted to go out it state

Emery isnt 3rd string and he isnt a "Heisman hopeful"

Not sure I agree with the public shaming approach,

We will be fine. It’s a brand new position to Dellinger but he’s the guy you want there talent-wise. He’s still got 2 weeks to work on it. Thankfully we get a bad Florida State team and then Southern for Dellinger to get his feet wet before playing an SEC game.

Yeah...not that hard. Who cares if Roy and Big Mase are standing right over the top of you!

This dumb statement reminds me of Moneyball
But the act of snapping the ball -- not hard at all.

its probably not snapping per se, but the way a center gets set vs a Guard or Tackle is extremely awkward. To rock around calling the protections, then get your butt up and snap out of that isnt easy at all

Not that hard.
Played center for 4 years and it is probably the most cerebral position on offense, besides QB. You have to see everything on the field call the defense worry about scheme and then make a perfect snap every single time to keep your job....Also have to be extremely physically ready at all times as well...
very hard position to master.
