There appears to be no process of law or legal defense against this fascist regime. And no one is safe. Is there not any check? Any balance?

How in the hell did we get here? We are a de facto police state.

They are right up until they kick in the wrong door.

30 years in prison for both Garland and Wray would be a good start for subverting the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They could have adjacent cells but no country club prison.

Slow boil... We willingly accepted this...

The 2A is the only check but when a citizen utilizes that check, they will be classified as a "mostly quiet guy"...

In theory, Congress holds the power to defund the DOJ. They’ve threatened it before but of course they don’t do it.

The higher positions wouldn’t care if their salaries were cut completely, they are there on an ideological mission and already have money. But if they lose their foot soldiers because they can’t pay field agents, they become rather toothless.

They executed a search warrant, the same way law enforcement does nearly every day on regular citizens.

OF COURSE there are checks and balances. If the warrant and/or the search were improper then any evidence found during the search cannot be used in a criminal trial.

If Trump believes his 4A rights were violated, he can bring a civil suit against the FBI.

Since we're discussing checks and balances, Congress can take action as well.

The only thing unusual about the search was that it targeted a former President and likely future candidate. There is no reason for normal citizens to be anymore frightened about this than other executed search warrants.

Anybody who threatens the prestige and power of our Elite Ruling Class will find out very quickly how "free" they are in the good ole US of A!

process

explain in writing to trump appointee judge.
judge signs off.
fbi with warrant.
gets the 12 boxes of whatever.
leaves receipt.

that's it for now.
after they go through 12 boxes they determine next steps.

so no, not absolute.
real slow.
you know they were first given 15 other boxes, months ago.
must not have found what they were looking for.

I’m not sure what to tell anyone who thinks Merrick Garland is doing this unilaterally.
