Ahh. Right. Forgot John 3:47
“Sinning in secret is better than sinning in public.”
There is absolutely a Biblical difference between struggling with sin and flaunting your sin. When you flaunt your sin, you show that you are rejecting Christ.
1 John 3:8-10
quote:
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
Hebrews 10:26
quote:
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

It really is a blessing in disguise for this girl. She would likely not be received well by these families (birthday parties, sleepovers, etc.) and the adoptive moms surely wouldn't be. In addition, the school actively teaches the "truth of the Bible" (their words). This girl would feel awkward in that scenario.
And she may get a better education. Not much value in 1 + 1=Jesus

No one is stopping them from hearing the gospel.
No one said they are.
I'm saying that the school is refusing to spread the gospel to the little girl based upon an affiliation that she did not choose.
That is, imo, sinful and I believe scripture would argue that intentionally refusing to spread the gospel to those who seek it is on par, if not worse than being gay.

Wouldn't the same argument be applicable to a gay couple denied membership in church?
Yea it would

This really comes down to whether admission/membership is akin to your example of someone seeking to hear the Gospel and not receiving it.
Some of y’all will harass people on Bourbon street but you think it would be too much to let a gay person go to your church?

Now tell Me about the sinners kids.

Has anyone told them not to come to church ?

The school's statement clearly says they want students who go to school there to be witness to a Biblical worldview. They don't take students they know are not getting that worldview at home.

It’s weird you stopped quoting the Bible with this post.

I've only quoted the Bible once in this thread, in response to someone who misquoted the Bible, so...not really.

Well, it wasn't about attending church, it was about membership in church, which is a pretty big distinction in these discussions FWIW.
I've never been part of a church that would bar gay people from attending. From membership, or involvement that would otherwise be akin to membership, leadership, etc.? Yes. But not attending.

So why not put the onerous on the parents to reject the school instead of the school rejecting the child?

Well that was the post I replied To and asked you to make that argument extend to the kid.
So it is weird you just posted the schools excuse.

This seems like a distinction without a difference. They are rejecting what the requirements of the school are.

So I did a little digging and a certain boy with the same last name as this school/church's pastor has a baby born February 2022...with a marriage date of October 2021...
What does that mean

I agree.
Another important aspect is that teachers are some of the most important people in a child's life. I would be interested to know if the child's new teacher is a member of the church. How should church members think of that teacher. How would church members treat the child if one of her friends brought her to Sunday school should the church ban the girl from going to church and attending Sunday school all because her adoptive parents are gay. Is this child permanently tainted the Lord and savior will never forgive her. It is just odd because by some people's logic on here she shouldn't be allowed to go to church.
