I too live in Mississippi and I still fly mine proudly and have a solar light shining on it at night. We certainly have our warts but we are still the greatest country in history and I am confident we are going come out of this eventually. Might not look the same but it will still be better than anything else out there.

I also feel empty inside.

Tired of being angry.

Flag display and treatment has always been a big part of my life.

TRUMP stands alone with our Flag. For now.

I understand your frustration, and I appreciate, respect, and applaud your service.
But there comes a time when you have got to realize that what you did for this country, putting your self at hazard, for these shite stains in office now, was in vain. They don't believe in the ideal for which you fought, whatever that ideal might have been at the time.

This is going to be hard for most service members to accept, but they USED you. They used 2 generations of men and women's love of country to go get blown to shite in the fricking desert!! And for what??!!!?? To cut bait and just leave unannounced? Leaving our equipment for the enemy??
This should be the source of your anger. Lashing out is expected. I am mad too, but I'm not mad at my countrymen for fighting in shitty wars. I'm mad that there's 2 generations of men blown to shite by fricking towelheads in countries that didn't have anything worth ONE frickING DROP of American blood. Those men have been made weak and dismembered and shell-shocked for money for the elites, so they wouldn't fight the fight that's in front of you and me now.

You are right, and the ultimate victory for them would be to have the populace hate our country so much that we would go so far as to take our flag down. The book I mentioned is a dang play book for all to see, they aren't even hiding it. They have successfully turned most against the police, turned many of us against military, and are now making us feel that we should be ashamed of the country. I for one, won't let them have that victory over me.

I prefer my state flag.

I still love America and the ideas that form its foundation. So I will always proudly fly an American flag, regardless of what's happening or who is in power. The United States of America is far more than the people who lead its government or the people who want to tear it down, as hard as that is to see sometimes.

Just like the left doesn't get to define what that flag means to some of us, you don't get to either. They did it with the Confederate flag, and now they are doing it with the US flag, and people are too blind to see they are accomplishing exactly what they want

But here's the thing...

Do the police not shoulder some of the blame for some of the dissatisfaction with which people hold them? Border agents are out there right now allowing the southern border to be invaded illegally and do NOTHING. Hell, they are actively participating in the invasion, and wouldn't you just know it, most of them are Mexican. And we wonder why they stand by and allow their countrymen to pour over our border? Is that a coincidence?
FBI agents just raided the home of a former President to obtain information which he was already participating in the sharing therof. They're supposed to protect us from such. So much that even we, citizens, have to yield to their authority. We are to recognize and respect that authority. I don't want to hear "just following orders" or "just doing my job". We didn't allow the NAZIs at Nuremburg the pleasure of that defense.
They swore to defend us. They swore to defend the Constitution of their states. They are duty-bound to not only uphold and enforce the law, but be able to distinguish between a lawful order and an unlawful order.
If they choose to disregard the law and simply do as they're told, they are fricking traitors. To a man. Same for the military.
I understand that Alinsky's book is looking pretty prophetic right about now. But please don't be so myopic to belive that our domestic enemy that has taken over our govt is playing by now, or ever will play by any rules. They are desperate to maintain power and will do anything to maintain it. It is impossible to predict their behavior by reading what Alinsky wrote 50 years ago.
The govt doesn't want us ashamed of our country and her symbols or her history. They want our complete and utter annihilation.
