Is it still right to fly an American flag?

I genuinely want the opinions of others on this. I live in Mississippi so “patriotism” abounds. Virtually all of my neighbors fly a flag throughout the year, but I cannot get myself to do it. I haven’t celebrated Independence Day since 2019.

To me, the flag does not stand for freedom any longer. The flag stands for a tyrannical federal government led by godless and immoral people. A government that despises who I am and the values that I hold dear. I feel that supporting the flag or it’s government is sinful.

Am I right to feel this way? There’s really no turning back at this point.

They fought against this type of government tyranny. We are back to the days of Lincoln style tyranny.

No, without people that believe on what this country was founded on and prepared to stand up against the evils that attack that thinking, all is lost. Don’t give up.

Fly it loud and proud. This is the greatest country on earth by far. And it still will be after we eradicate the terrorists in control or split into 5 regional states. Gulf Coast region for me.

Yes, the flag represents the sacrifice of service members who were sent to fight for each other and home.

The government doesn't get to own the flag.

You're right to feel that way. I do also. But there are people who believed in freedom and gave their lives for the flag. Despite present day DC. Need someone to make a flag for protesting DC and the Fed.
