I hit a $1000.27 last month! Small price to pay to get rid of our Ozone Layer that is creating all this global warming.

Not yet, but close... Praying with August being cooler than June and July, it goes down.

I haven’t because I’m not fat and don’t need my AC below 78

$285 is the highest I've had. We set the thermostat at 78 and above depending on what side of the house we are in. We've never seen a 76 degree thermostat. 78 feels better than 95 every time.

2000 sq ft with tinted windows and new AC. $413. Typically more like $200-250 this time of year.

I leave ours on 71. I don't care what it costs. My mom keeps her house on like 77-79 and I find it to be miserable.

Not even funny to think about. Last bill was only slightly higher than same period last year and no where close to $500.00. I think it was 256.00 but my family is more than comfortable as are my two yard dogs and cat who spend their days inside my shop at a comfortable 76 degrees. House is much cooler 24/7

I say "My Man." You know what separates us from the animals? AC. It's the real reason dogs are nice to humans.

Almost broke $800 barrier and had to love to average monthly billing because this is ridiculous

Nope. Here in Lafayette, 2300 sq ft home and last months bill was $250. Month before was highest ever at $270.
Brick home built in 1960 with double pane windows, blown-in insulation in the attic, newer efficient AC, and a huge live oak in the back yard that provides plenty of shade on the house.
Have the thermostat on a schedule. 70 degrees at 8 pm-7 am, then 78 during the day when we’re gone, then 75 at 4-8 pm.
