Joe Biden and congressional Democrats, with Republican help, are poised to spend $3.5 trillion during decades-high inflation. “Passage of the Inflation Reduction Act will make Biden one of the most legislatively successful presidents of the modern era,” Politico Playbook writers Ryan Lizza and Eugene Daniels wrote. Although congressional Democrats have only a four-member majority in the House and a one-member majority in the Senate, Biden has been able to pass a substantial legislative agenda. It is also notable that Biden has spent so much during the first half of his term in office.
This includes: The $1.9 trillion American Recovery Act, Biden’s coronavirus relief bill, The $550 billion so-called Infrastructure Investment and Jobs ActThe $280 billion.

Republicans will continue to fracture their future efforts with Trump versus anti-Trump supporters.

Must be nice to have your party stick together. Trump had a bigger cushion his first two years and got nothing accomplished because of hurt feelings. He could have been legislatively the greatest President in 100+ years but instead we got Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to ruin things.

yet, the congressional GOP couldn't get off its arse and pass Trump's agenda when it had better numbers.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) gave credit Sunday to President Biden for several bipartisan legislative accomplishments, such as on infrastructure, gun control and social media. The praise from the South Carolina Republican came as Senate Democrats were advancing their tax and climate spending bill amid the highest inflation rate in four decades.

This will guarantee exponential inflation and the inevitable the collapse of the USD. Why would competitors prop up our unrestrained spending via printing while they suffer loss? They won’t for long. They will drop the Dollar like it is a turd. Rightfully so. And likely for a ‘new deal’ called @the great reset “. Just like Covid and the Election we can see this coming in slow motion. Just can’t stop it. Biblical Prophecy confirmation.

Republican help?

quote:

The plan, called the Inflation Reduction Act, cleared the upper chamber by a vote of 51 to 50 along party lines, with Vice President Kamala Harris providing the tie-breaking vote in the evenly divided Senate. Democrats used a fast-track legislative process known as reconciliation to pass the measure in the face of unanimous opposition from Republicans.

Typical lying Democrat playbook: Pass bad laws with complete Republican opposition, then blame Republicans because low information Libertarians are just fine with Democrats in charge.

50 republicans voted against it.

Name the rinos that voted for it.

*An example of why if you have choice between a rino and a dem you hold your nose and vote for the rino. The dem will always vote against your and the country's interests.

Lots of posters here believe the parties are the same. Don't let actual voting numbers get in the way.

They're the same in that they are corrupt as hell.

Otherwise they are very different on the major issues.

Joe Biden is confident that Senate Democrats' Inflation Reduction Act will aid his party's uphill battle to keep the majority in Congress next year.

It's been clear for years now, but this is essentially uniparty rule. The goal of every US lawmaker is nothing more than to get re-elected and never to actually do anything except padding their own pockets. That is all this bill is in the end.
