I see them for like $50. Seems like a good cheap grill for beer can chicken

I had one years back and sadly got rid of it. They actually cook pretty good.

You don’t need a fancy charcoal grill to what the vast majority of people plan on doing with it
Those will get the job done just fine

I used to BBQ strictly on an Old Smokey for everything from burgers to ribs to pork steaks.
I bought a OK Joe’s reverse flow wood smoker about five years ago and love it. Awesome for low and slow. But I’m thinking of buying an Old Smokey again because no matter how much I love my OK Joe’s, I can’t get them pork steaks to be as tasty as they used to be.

We used to tote a 13" model out to our favorite spot on Lakeshore Drive in NOLA on our bikes. One guy had the grill and charcoal and the other guy carried the beer and meat in an ice chest. One chair each.

I have many pits but my Ole Smokey is the best camp pit ever made. Lightweight makes it portable and can cook just about anything. Don’t mess with the small models, get the jumbo for plenty of grill space.

I got rid of my 700 welded offset smoker (actually it rusted out) and went back to a 100 dollar Home Depot chargriller
it cooks better and doesn’t take up my whole deck

Old Smokey’s are great. Gave my son one and after Hurricane Laura it was all that was left standing by his shed. True story.

+ 1 on the kettle. I smoked a chuck roast with snake method this weekend. It was really good.
