Hit .308 last year at VCU. In three games in summer ball he’s hitting .400

I’m worried we will get monkey pox with how we are bending everyone over in recruiting/portal.

I believe their starting SS transferred to Miss St.

I can't imagine he is the starting SS at LSU. Building INF depth I assume.

“I wanted to follow Will Wade from VCU to LSU. What? He’s gone?!?”

You’d think Nippolt would have had a good chance to start at VCU and stayed.

Maybe he will project at 2nd base?

I think Nippolt plays 2B & 3B.

Good lead off or 9 hole guy in the order

I’m pretty bullish on Guidry

Last year Nippolt’s fielding percentage was .910
Thompsons was .894

But only Thompson was at shortstop.

Depth infield guy. Mainly 2B & 3B. Key note is he hits left handed, which we have none of in the infield besides Morgan. Unless he makes a big jump, I don't see him more than a spot player, situational pinch hitter, but extremely important for depth. He played juco before VCU so he has some innings under his belt, something else that some of our infielders don't have (in the infield).

I like the pick up. Still expect JT or Guidry to play ss.

I like the added experienced depth in the INF. Still excited to see what Guidry can bring to the table.

He's not exactly fast. I see him better suited to play 3B. Decent hitter but I rather a glove than a bat at this point.
