Some guy from the 70’s? If so, what are the true stories on why him?

”Art Cantrelle is pure evil, formed of twisted blue steel and raised in the smoldering fires of hell.
‘When Cantrelle entered a bar, everyone knew him and they either left or all walked over to the other side of the room. That's how bad Art was.”

Cantrelle.
My mom dated him at LSU - I've heard some interesting stories.

Is this the thread where we all are suppose to pretend people like George Atiyeh, Greg Cook, Eric Andolsek, Alan Faneca wouldn't have b_tch slapped Art Cantrell in front of his girlfriend.

Kenny Obanion was the most feared in bar fights in the late 70's early 80s. There wasn't a single BR cop that didn't know Kenny Obanion. As a teenager, he would visit his uncle to weight lift together. They couldn't put enough weight on the bars when he squatted weights. He was finally shot and killed after an altercation with his stripper ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, And if you talk about pure body strength, hard-to-beat former all-state wrestler, LSU running back and former NFL back Victor Jones. Former NFL players can attest to his strenght.

I saw two fights that stood out during my time as a student and later on after while a friend and I met for a drink in the 80s at the Bengal.
The first was Art Cantrell. All I can say is believe what you want to believe but this was one bad arse guy. It wasn’t the fact that he was the biggest it wasn’t the fact that he was the strongest it was just the fact that that guy can flat out freaking brawl. And it was nothing that you were going to do except kill the bastard to get him to stop. He was a strong as an ox too.
The second was Michael Brooks. Michael Brooks was minding his own business and two guys messed with him at the Bengal. He took the two of them, who thought they were bad asses, and threw them through stalls. Then the bouncers came and try just up to them him and he threw down like rag dolls. These were not small guys. He walked out.
Michael Brooks was a mean SOB.
