Hotel near Merrill Hines Surgery Center in NOLA

I have to take one of my children to Oschner/Merrill Hines in NOLA for a procedure tomorrow morning. Ochsner called today and said that we need to check in by 5:30 a.m. tomorrow.
I'm pondering driving down tonight and staying at the Causeway Marriott. I'm also pondering just leaving home at 3:00 a.m. and avoiding staying overnight in NOLA all together because I value my, my wife, and my child's life.
Is the Causeway Marriott relatively safe? Can anyone recommend any other hotel near Oschner that is safe? Is it just not worth it to try to stay the night in NOLA?
Thanks in advance, OT.

That hotel is not that great for the $$ but it's the safest in the city. The DEA Divisional Office(lots of Feds) is in the building just above the hotel floors.

Parking in the garage is totally safe as well.

Check the Marriott Courtyard next to the Galleria. Close to where you're going and fine.

Of course.

I fricked around one morning and drove up to the 8th floor in the garage just to be nosy. Backing down the ramp from the Double Secret Gate for DEA Parking was a BITCH.

As soon as you get off the spillway, someone will sense what a pussy you are and murder you on the I10

Don’t do it. You will be murdered and car jacked the second you enter Jefferson Parish.
Brent House hotel is basically in the hospital

I had to ask myself, am I misreading this like an idiot?
Is this dude asking if a hotel in Metairie is safe?

The Brent House is adjacent to Ochsner. There are several hotels in the Elmwood area near Clearview, between Earhart and Jefferson. However, I can't say for sure what kind of shenanigans goes on at night. But they, like the Marriot, in JP, not Orleans Parish.

Like he said. It is in the hospital.

Yeah. I am. It's called being prudent when traveling overnight with your wife and child and the country's biggest murder capital with a carjacking fetish is right next door.

You should wear bullet proof vest, put your family in a germ bubble, and wear 2 condoms.
You are not even going into Nola.
Get a grip (wear a glove, of course)

I stay at the Hampton Inn on Causeway somewhat regularly. It’s clean and safe and they have free parking and breakfast.
I’ve stayed at the Marriott Causeway 3 times. Each time, the bathroom was not very clean and the plumbing was awful (toilet wouldn’t flush, no pressure in the sink). It’s considerably more expensive than the Hampton Inn, plus you have to pay to park.
I’d look at the Hampton Inn.

You're probably less safe driving around Nola at 3 a.m. than you would be in the comfort of a hotel room. Just my two cents.

God damn some of y'all are pussies. For the millionth time, Metairie is not New Orleans. It's like being scared to stay in Hoover because Birmingham is right next door.
