Oh lawd, canceled flights, delays and you better not be overweight. Spirit planes are very cramped. Some overweight people on the plane were having big problems.

It worked out for me because I was able to make by connections via standby and while working with the Agent Assist and while helping me she told me, "I would never fly Spirit".

She told me the cancelations were due to "crew problems". Maybe this is not only a problem with Spirit but for the entire airline industry right now. I had problems with Delta a month ago that made me miss a connection on an international flight.

I think it’s an industry wide problem. I flew back in June and all 4 of my flights got delayed or canceled

I'm not a large person, but I didn't find any issues with the plane size the one time I flew Spirit. Didn't really have any issues at all, but it was only on one flight leg and was a direct flight.

It is industry-wide for sure, but Spirit is a special level of shitty, both the airline and clientele.

Flying is also a massive pain if you're tall.

Never flown Spirit and probably won't. I understand large airports regardless of airline have a lot of checked baggage problems.

This is how you use them

Spirit and Frontier are fine when you have a shorter direct flight that you only have a backpack for

Thought I was getting a great deal flying Spirit but the add-ons made the cost as much as the big carriers.

Spirit Airlines is like a flying Greyhound bus, what did you expect?

The key to flying Spirit is to fly non-stop. Never had any troubles flying direct from MSY to Miami, but you add in a layover and you can almost 100% guarantee your connector will be delayed.

Odds of sitting beside a fat arse having tuna salad for breakfast 10x greater.

Fine

It's so easy to get a bigger seat though with Spirit. I usually fly in the front two rows or the escape row.

Spirit is by far the worst experience I've ever had on a plane. Just god awful. And that's before the other passengers even come into the picture. It really was noticeable that you were on a lower class method of travelling. Never again.

Did your seat mate bring something nasty to eat during the flight?

I think it’s an industry wide problem.

I've taken over 40 United flights this year with zero problems other than a couple 20-30 minute delays.

These issues disproportionally impact the greyhound of the sky.
