American households increasingly relied on their credit cards this spring as prices rose at the fastest rate in four decades.

Credit card balances jumped $46 billion in the second quarter of the year. Compared with a year ago, balances are up 13 percent, the largest increase in more than 20 years, according to data released Tuesday by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Unreal what they are doing to our nation!

Stolen elections have consequences.

A reckoning is coming and when it gets here I am not certain there will be a recovery from it...

I don't have any credit card debt. How is a 'stolen' election impacting my credit card usage?

It has been easier to get a reservation at my favorite restaurant lately.

I personally look forward to the depression. Morality in this country has gone to shite. People in soup lines don’t care about pronouns.

What a weak "gotcha" response. Maybe if you think about it a second, you'll figure out why your post is dumb.

OK. I've thought about it. A stolen election has no bearing on me swiping my credit card.

One of the things I’ve learned from this administration is that when you have a “booming economy” you have to use credit cards to afford daily essential items and then pay interest on it. Which takes away future spending power. Own it dems.

The OP isn't talking about you. Do I need to spell it out for you? Wit is not your strong suit.

The poster above is letting you know in his own sarcastic way.

It doesn’t pertain to you as you still live with your parents. Move along troll.

This has been going on for a long time. White middle class Americans are living way beyond their means - mostly on credit.

Say that on the OT and you get downvoted into oblivion by the "loaded out Platinum F250 on a 10 year note" class.

Dang, what a singular train of thought you have about you...

I'm not one of these idiots who buys things on credit that I can't afford to pay back. A 'stolen election' has no bearing on any of this.

because the article is about the "average cc debt". because you have no debt, think about the other families struggling to make ends meet with higher than avg debt because we have a potato as President.

It's almost if trying to blame a 'stolen election' for people running up credit cards (which isn't anything new) is idiotic.

I noticed you talk down to people in your posts. Constantly. Nothing but a selfish, narcissistic asshat.

"You will own nothing and be happy" requires you lose everything...one way or the other.
