Coming in Friday-Monday for the FSU game.
What are some good restaurants/bars that are not on bourbon st/French qt. Not interested in getting robbed.

I'd be more worried about getting poked that weekend.

I would suggest somewhere north of Little Rock.

I don’t like the warehouse district but given that it’s southern decadence that weekend as well that’s probably where most of the sports fans will be along with the part of the quarter near the river like Ryan’s, Chart Room, etc

I don't know why but these types of posts bother me.
First, there are very few bad restaurants in New Orleans. Just go and don't over plan.
Second, New Orleans is a crowded real city. There are conferences, conventions, festivals, sporting events, tourists and actual people working downtown every day.

Simply don’t click it or don’t reply to a post that bothers you. Miserable frick.

St. Charles and magazine is lined with bars and restaurants. You're welcome.

Plenty of options on St Charles or Magazine St. Try out Frenchman St as well. GW Fins is a go to for me over the past few years.

OK - It's a quick walk to Phat's Cajun Corner on Ursula Spencer Way. It's a bit of a hike, so I recommend taking off around dusk.

GW Fins might have become my favorite restaurant in New Orleans

Go to Parkway and get a roast beef sandwich. Some people will tell you that it's touristy but they're telling you that so you think it's touristy and stick to uptown/downtown eateries.
The boudin eggrolls at Piece of Meat are very good and there's other butcher-centered eats there as well. I thin someone mentioned Jacques-Imo's...lots of fun and decent food if you can stand the wait.
