How old were your kids when your first took them and how did it go?

2-3. Took each of mine to games at 2-3 for their first time. Plenty of snacks, not much tailgating, left early with everyone else.

My kid is 6 and I think will be ok for a game this year. Those of you who bring the kids in diapers are crazy.

depends on the kid. I think mine were 6 and 3 for their first games.

Several years ago the people behind me had a 4 week old bundled up, in September with the temp at 90+

My kids were staying for the full game at 4 and 3 years old.

This. You know your kids better than anyone. Mine were 5 and 4 for their first game but are generally pretty well behaved. We have friends that have kids that are much more hyper/don't listen that will probably wait a while before bringing them to a game.

I think my first was 6 or so.
My nephew's first game was the one with the streaker. We were sitting low in the north endzone

Why? Half the people yelling at us to sit down during the game were probably in diapers

Once they are watching the full game at home

Son number one was 2. He paid attention the whole game. It was amazing. Did not leave early. Went often as a youngster. Every game pretty much from first grade on - maybe earlier.
Child number three (son number two) went for the nachos and drinks he wanted to leave early, but I wouldn’t let him. He probably didn’t go until he was 3 and then, not that often.
Middle child, daughter, was probably in between those two as far as interest in the game and was 3 or so for her first game. Was likely more interested in wearing a cheerleader outfit and shaking pom-poms.
Each child is different.

Took my son last year at age 4. Was ok. It was McNeese and we left at halftime
Looking back, I probably would have waited a year or 2

brought my one year old to the Southern Miss v LSU regional game when they came back in the 11th.
She was a champ...but she's also a very social baby who is good around lots of people. Everybody around us loved her.

First in person game was a night game against Florida at age 8 in 2019. We only get to come to maybe a game a year.
We sat West upper which a little bit tamer. It took a little bit for him to get over the steepness of the West Upper. They may hear some cuss words but no big deal to me if its not extreme. I took headphones in case it got too loud but they weren't needed.
He enjoyed it and made a full day tailgating also.
Last year he was 10 and had his worst experience in Tiger Stadium so far. But it was because of them damn aggies and their low pitch Wooooooooooooo, all game which had him ready to fight. That shits annoying as hell. We had an Aggie on the row or two behind us and that dude never quite going Woooooooooooooo.
Of course I wanted to fight as well so I understood. Headphones helped in that case, plus putting a dagger in their heart to win it really helped. My son gave the Dude several big Tiger Baits as he left out the stadium. I was proud as hell.
First tailgate was 2 or 3 in a jogging stroller. He had a good time playing and Grandma kept him while we went in the game.
All in all, get them snacks at the game. Show them all the traditions, have fun, and worst case be ready to leave early if needed. (like the rest of our fans)

My oldest was 6 months; gotta start them early and teach them what is important in life.
