Walmart is having trouble selling stuff because people can barely afford food and gas

When Walmart cant sell their cheap Chinese crap that's when you know things are getting tough.

Joe said it's not a recession, though.

Retail giant Walmart told investors Monday it is looking to slash prices on items like apparel as it faces an overstock of some goods.
In a statement posted on its website, Walmart mentioned that the higher prices consumers are paying for food and gasoline are cutting into their ability to buy other items, like clothing. The upshot: There are now more of these goods than the company can sell — so it is discounting the prices on them.

Maybe Target will finally take over the world.

Just imagine how much worse it would be if we were in a recession.

If liberals believed in climate change they would stop buying Chinese crap.

I posted this on the Poli Board.
Several restaurants in my area have closed recently. These were established places with a decent following. They certainly weren't places that I thought were struggling. In talking to two other restaurant owners, they both told me that in some instances their costs have tripled year over year. One of these was a rural BBQ place. He's going up on his menu prices because he has to, but he's not sure if his customers can handle the increase. He has to go up to cover his costs, but he may go out of business when he does.
We haven't flushed out this mismanagement. The feds have inflated this economy through artificial means since 2008. Now they are trapped in a scenario they don't understand and don't know how to resolve.

I believe it.
When my wife and I go out now we expect to spend at least $150 on drinks, food, tip. As a result we go out and have a nice meal at a restaurant once every 6-8 weeks. We feel lucky to even be able to do that.

Yes a slow down in purchasing of all consumer goods is an indicator

Maybe people just have a better sense of style now and don’t want to be seen in Walmart clothes.

But Brandon said the economy is booming. Y'all are just uninformed!

Nothing wrong with Walmart clothes. Hell in my little town you have to drive 40+ minutes if you can’t find it at Walmart or tractor supply.

Everything is understaffed, overpriced and too busy.
