congress will spend trillions bailing them out so they can start over with only green electric cars and have no more gas engines
I swear there isn't a single topic here that can be discussed without some flaming homo like you coming up with a conspiracy theory about it

It’s not a conspiracy theory when it’s happened before. Remember GM?

Yeah...because such bailouts never come with any strings attached.

Love my paid off 2014 and 2015 vehicles. Car notes fricking suck.
Yep, both of ours will be paid off within the next couple of months.
Imagine having a car note with 20% interest

Today that number has exploded. Its 10% in Texas and 23% in DC. Nationwide, its around 9%.
Really?!?! You mean financing a Platinum F250 and mom's loaded Tahoe out to 9 years so you can pretend to be "wealthy" and make your suburban neighbors jealous isnt a good financial decision?!??!!
What about running up a massive 30 year mortgage on a "forever" home mcmansion debt bomb in your mid-40's?!?!?

Is this the new thing? Every single cautionary tale around government overreach is immediately dismissed as "conspiracy theory"?
Is there not precedent for government bailing out the auto industry? And do you honestly believe another bailout wouldnt come with green requirements? GTFO with that.

My 2007 2500HD Chevy has but 130,000 on it and it's not my every day vehicle.
Heck yeah. If it is still decent, throw you some Bilstein shcks on it and you will be good to go 'til you are gone.
Bilsteins cost a little more but the ride is better than new!!

Will boats be in the same categoy? Covid seemed to ramp to boat purchases and I figured.... That's even more expensive than a car.. How are people affording those?

I sold my dealership and retired over 20 years ago, and I've posted in several threads about this topic.
Again, I would suggest to anyone with auto sales experience (used car sales especially), and the ability to raise capital to start building themselves a buy here-pay here business. Find the lot, acquire licenses, approach good used car salespeople about working for you when you open, then start to watch the repo numbers, AND the used car auctions. As the repos go up, auction prices will come down, so be patient and wait until the older models ($750-$2500) start showing up.
Also, if you have automotive repair knowledge, that's great. If not, find a shade-tree mechanic who'll go with you to auction when you're ready to start your inventory.
There's a lot more, but these things are the basics.

Do you own an electric vehicle?
When are you going to buy yours?
Is the sun about to explode?
Have you always had this negative attitude?
And, most importantly, you do know Dems are lying jackasses right?
Keep believing all of this BS, it'll help you sleep at night.

It means there are a lot of unpaid notes that the repo men have not gotten around to repo-ing yet.
I know but ultimately some of those cars won't be able to be found.
So you go after the following:
1) the customers who know they can't repay, aren't going to threaten the repo man, and arrange a time for pickup, which
2) bring the most resale value.

I've always gotten a kick out of the new Duramax's parked in front of a trailer house. An old trailer house.
I used to see this crap all the time when I lived in Mississippi, and it’s about the same here in Arkansas. Just blows my mind!!

Good. Hopefully these scummy dealerships fail. Screw car salesmen and their owners and their tactics.
