I left Alex 10 years ago and yeah I never remember the crime and violence being as bad as it is now. It was always on the other side of the train tracks too. I never felt unsafe growing up.
I’ve heard the law enforcement numbers have dropped tremendously which I think is an issue in a lot of places these days.

Alexandria is trash. About 10 years ago, the mall stopped allowing minors after like 7pm on Friday and Saturday without an adult. Full of culcha.
